Walleye Blast Kalamazoo 8-2 to Clinch Brabham Cup 2015 Kelly Cup Playoffs Start Thursday at Huntington Center vs. Wheeling (Toledo, OH). Jenks sent a wrist shot past Kalamazoo goaltender Joel Martin at 13:21 for his 14th of the year. Just 32 seconds later Scott Czarnowczan (2nd) gave the Walleye a 3-1 lead followed at 15:05 of the first period by Josh Holmstrom (13) and a 4-1 lead after one period. A.J. Jenks picked up his second goal of the night at 4:19 of the second period. Kalamazoo closed to within a goal before the end of the period. The Walleye owned the third period as Barnes scored twice at 1:09 and 3:35 to pick up his second hat trick of the season and he finishes the year with 34 goals. Jenks (16th) completed his hat trick at 3:51, just 16 ticks after Barnes picked up his. Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson made 32 saves to win in his first professional start. Tyler Barnes has set a new Walleye single season points record with 74 surpassing the previous record held by Andy Bohmbach (72) in 2010-11.
