Whatsup keepers!! Welcome back to ARS GK and today we are finally back with a training video! We are covering one of my favorite and most versatile drill formations for goalkeeper training the DIAMOND DRILL which helps set up the keeper SAVE BUBBLE and illustrate this area to our keepers by using those same cones to outline the boundaries of the MUST-SAVE zone! The best part about our exercise is that you can add any variations into this drill to make it specific to whichever area you're looking to work on in our set we cover just two variations of the diamond drill specifically focusing on footwork, fitness and positioning with of course a bit of handling and shot stopping. the most important part of our drill is understanding that the area inside the diamond drill is our must save area, so any shot that flies through that zone MUST be a save and as time progresses and our keepers improve that MUST-SAVE zone soon becomes a MUST - HOLD zone meaning that not only must you make that save but at the higher skill level balls going through that area essentially close to the body must be held first time for the safest save possible. Remember the difference between good goalkeepers and great ones is the difference between a parry into the danger zone and a solid first time hold! Track: Lemon Fight - Stronger (feat.
