The most important Eredivisie game of the season for both Ajax and PSV Eindhoven and Eran Zahavi was up to the task. Ajax keeper Maartyn Stekelenburg left rooted to the ground and suddenly a six-point gap behind Ajax was down to three in the race for the title. But there was agony later in the second minute of injury time when Denzel Dumfries was judged to have handled the ball when Davy Klaasen shot from close range. The penalty was well taken by Dusan Tadic and Ajax had stolen a draw, and remain favourites for the title much to the anger of the PSV players. There was also entertainment as third placed AZ Alkmaar beat 5th placed Feyenoord by 4 goals to 2 thanks to a hat-trick from 20-year-old talent Myron Boadu. The first showed not only his speed, but a high quality left foot. That ws 1-1. The second shoed that raw pace again, and also that his right foot is just as good. That was 2-2. And he made the hat trick goal look very simple after a defensive error. That is now 5 goals in two games, and it brings his eredivisie total for the season to 11. He is certain to add to that one senior cap for the Netherlands. And Alkmaar are now within two points of second place PSV.
