With 1 minute left in the 4th quarter and trailing 37-29, Montreal had one last chance to get a touchdown and a 2 point convert to tie the game. However, on the 2nd consecutive drive and for the 3rd time in the game, Johnson picked off an Adams Jr. pass and sealed the win for the Eskimos in the Eastern semi-final. Edmonton will go on to play Hamilton in the Eastern final. The Alouettes' season comes to a disappointing end, but it was a much better season than anyone could have predicted at the beginning of the year.
