David De Gea made a double save within the first 5mins from a Roma free-kick and that set the tone for the rest of the game! Manchester United then started to get their foot on the ball and start dictating play with Bruno Fernandes and Cavani linking up well to create some good attacking opportunities. On 38mins Fred picked the ball up into the Roma half and played a well-weighted pass onto Edinson Cavani who struck a well-placed drilled effort beyond the Roma keeper to make it Roma 0-1 Manchester United. Second half Solskjaer made two substitutions with Brandon Williams on for Wan Bissaka and Telles on for Shaw. The 48th minute saw a controversial decision when Roma protested for a penalty when the ball bounced up and hit Harry Maguire on the arm, which the referee waved away and VAR gave no penalty. Moments later Eden Dzeko headed in from close range from a cross from the right-hand side to make it Roma 1-1 Manchester United, and then Man Utd faced an onslaught from Roma who added a second goal, and David De Gea pulling off three world-class saves to keep Roma at bay! On 68 minutes Bruno Fernandes picked up the ball on the left and found Edinson Cavani with a pinpoint ball onto the head of Cavani who made an excellently timed run to finish and make it Roma 2-2 Manchester United. Roma made it 3 with some good play on the left with a deflected shot off Alex Telles which found its way through David De Gea's legs to make it Roma 3-2 Manchester United.
