Duke's Mayo Bowl Preview, North Carolina vs South Carolina is today's College Football Preview & Prediction video. South Carolina is finishing up its first season under 1st year coach Shane Beamer. The Gamecocks finished the regular season 6-6 and bowl eligible for the first time since 2018. Coach Beamer & staff look to close out the season with what would be a huge bowl victory vs UNC Tar Heels after the Gamecocks only won a total of 6 games in the previous two seasons. North Carolina season hasn't gone as expected. UNC came into the season as ACC Coastal favorites and Sam Howell a Heisman trophy candidate. Neither of those things panned out but Howell, so far, is not opting out of the bowl and looking to finish his college career on a high note. Howell is expected, by most, to enter the NFL draft after the season concludes.
