Yokohama F. Marinos have responded to losing three league games in the first half of September by winning three league games in a row in the second half of September. Vegalta Sendai were the victims this week, and the visitors opened the scoring in the 10th minute, thanks to Portuguese forward Alexandre Guedes. Brazilian Marcos Júnior then levelled with his 11th league goal of the season, before compatriot Erik scored his fifth and sixth goals in four games to secure the points for Marinos.
