The Phillies put up 6 runs against the Cardinals in a wild second inning on April 16, 2021. Jean Segura drove in a run to start thing off with a double that the St. Louis centerfielder couldn’t see. Then pitcher Zach Eflin was hit by a pitch in the groin area that walked in a run. Andrew McCutchen drove in two runs with a single and finally Bryce Harper added two more with a double to make it 6-0. The Phillies were able to bounce back with a victory after dropping three straight to the Mets. Zach Eflin was strong on the mound, going 7 innings and striking out 6.
