The Hardwood Classics is CPU vs CPU gameplay with modified graphics for an old school feel and hopefully the most realistic gameplay sliders. A NBA team will participate in the Hardwood Classics if it has a minimum of classic players in its team. The 12 players in the official NBA 2K Database who competed the most games for a franchise are selected (info taken from basketball-reference.com). These are not necessary the best players, but the most loyal ones. Each player can only play for one team per season, usually the team he made the most games for. The following teams qualified for the NBA 2K10 edition of the Hardwood Classics: The Boston Celtics, the Detroit Pistons, the Los Angeles Lakers, the New York Knicks, and the Phoenix Suns. The Brooklyn Legends, a fantasy team that I've been putting together for over a decade, also launch exclusively for players born in Brooklyn. The 2K10 competition: The six teams play each against each in a round trip.
