As part of paying tribute to John Sterling on his passing, I wanted to upload something from the earlier part of his career that hasn't been represented on my channel until now, and that was his tenure as the voice of the New York/New Jersey Nets from 1975 to 1980. I unfortunately still have not come across his call of the Nets second ABA title in 1976, and the only two Nets broadcasts I have are from their first season in the NBA (and their last on Long Island) when they plummeted to a last place team, largely because they had been forced to sell Julius Erving to pay off the penalties stemming from the merger.
