Welsh Fire vs London Spirit, 32nd Match Higlight
London Spirit finish last, with just the one win in 8 games. They were rather good with the bat today, but their bowling left a lot to be desired with the brawn of Glenn Phillips towering over them, that finished the game very early. The Fire did lose a few wickets in the middle overs, courtesy Wheal and Cullen, but eventually, Cobb and Qais Ahmed kept their cool to land a few blows late in the chase, under pressure, to finish off a hapless campaign for the London Spirit.

But van Niekerk called for a timeout, got her girls together and gave a proper pep talk. They came fired up and pulled off an inspiring victory that would give them massive confidence coming into today.

#CricketHits Van Niekerk is absolutely elated. So when the strategic timeout was called, the Phoenix were placed strongly at 58/2, needing just 57 runs off 55 balls. Simple equation ain't it! And they had a solid-looking Amy Jones, who stitched a 43-run stand with Erin Burns too. But Van Niekerk had an animated chat in that huddle. "Give your 100%, don't leave anything out," were the words from her in that chat as Farrant informs now. And Farrant started this all, not with the ball but with a stunning catch running back from mid-off and diving. Burns was back. Then Farrant got the ball in her hands and delivered the knockout blow to the Phoenix. Amy Jones caught at cover off a slower ball. Two in two for the Invincibles and they believed. The panic was evident in the Phoenix set-up. After 70 balls, they could score just 2 runs in the next 10 balls and also lost two key wickets. From nowhere, the Invincibles snatched the upper hand and Farrant, the leading wicket-taker was too good for the lower-order, finishing with 4 wickets. A female fan in the stands put out a fierce fist pump and that tells you how much they believed in their team. Onto Lord's to lock horns with the Brave now.
