2021 NFL Playoffs | Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Predictions & Picks | Wild Card Weekend

WILDCARD WEEKEND! Tampa Bay Buccaneers preview + ATS/O/U Picks. Rachael van Oranje and Jeff Reinebold preview this matchup and give us their ATS + O/U picks and best bets for this NFL matchup! The Bucs are 8 point favorites. What do you like in this matchup? Let us know! The official https://www.pickswise.com/picks: POINT SPREAD PICK It’s put up or shut up time for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not since their Super Bowl win in 2003 have the Bucs won a postseason game, and they have gambled all their marbles on Tom Brady ending that drought in this season. Step one of reaching the playoffs is complete, but now they must take to the road to defeat a Washington Football Team that boasts one of the most ferocious defenses in the league. While the Buccaneers are likely to advance, I can’t see it being nearly as comfortable as the odds suggest. It has been nearly three months since Washington last lost a game by more than a touchdown, and it is yet to happen since Alex Smith took over as quarterback. Head coach Ron Rivera has transformed this team from a joke to one of the toughest units in the NFL, and they will be full of belief that they can come out on top here. The Football Team is riding a wave of momentum right now, having won five of their last seven games. The greatest amount of points a team has scored against them in that period is 20. With another low-scoring defensive battle likely, that makes this 8.5-point head start look huge. Admittedly, the Buccaneers have been red hot on offense lately–averaging more than 40 points in their last three games. But those came against the Falcons and Lions, who respectively allowed the most and third-most passing yards in the league. Playoff Brady is always a scary prospect but he has looked inconsistent at times this year, and getting it done against the defense that has allowed the second-fewest passing yards per attempt is no gimme. Plus, the Bucs have looked vulnerable to tight ends and in the slot–ranking tied for seventh in touchdowns given up to tight ends. That could open the door for a big game from Logan Thomas. This will be a slugfest, and I love getting this many points with Washington. Go with the Football Team. Note: Even if Taylor Heinicke starts under center for Washington, I still like them to keep this one within eight points. GAME TOTALS PICK A lot of what I mentioned above also applies to why I think the under is a great bet. Washington’s defense has been phenomenal over the past couple of months at keeping teams out of the endzone, but the Bucs also boast the toughest run defense in the league. They allowed just 3.6 yards per carry this season, which is the best in the NFL. Tampa should have no trouble pacifying Antonio Gibson, which means it will be up to Smith to get it done through the air. Brady and the Bucs offense have been scoring for fun, but they have come unstuck when they have come against an elite defense. Tampa Bay struggled mightily against the Rams in November and only put three points on the board when they last played the Saints. I don’t think it would be outrageous to put the Washington defense on a similar level. Furthermore, the under has cashed in each of the Football Team’s last five games and in eight of their last 10. Despite Tampa’s immense scoring, the under has also landed in three of their last five. Take the under. #NFL #NFLPicks #WildCardWeekend #ATSPicks #NFLBetting

2021 NFL Playoff | Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints Predictions & Picks | Wild Card Weekend
2021 NFL Playoff | Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints Predictions & Picks | Wild Card Weekend

WILDCARD WEEKEND! Chicago Bears vs. New Orleans Saints preview + ATS picks. Rachael van Oranje and Jeff Reinebold preview this matchup and give us their ATS + O/U picks and best bets for this NFL matchup! The Saints are 10 point favorites. What do you like in this matchup? Let us know! The official https://www.pickswise.com/ picks: POINT SPREAD PICK The New Orleans Saints will host the Chicago Bears for the penultimate game of wild card weekend. Besides being the first NFL playoff game to be televised on Nickelodeon, it’s interesting for a few reasons. For starters, it has the largest spread of any playoff game, now cracking double digits. I don’t think the Bears will pull off the upset, but I do think this spread is a touch high. The Saints closed their season with two impressive wins, but they came against rapidly unraveling Panthers and Vikings teams. Right before that, they had lost two in a row, including an ugly game to the lowly Eagles. The Bears finished the season playing their best ball, and I don’t have much confidence in Drew Brees against Khalil Mack and company. These teams played earlier this season and the Bears only lost by three in overtime, and that was when Chicago was in the middle of a six-game losing streak. That was also when Nick Foles was still under center, and the offense has looked much better now that Mitchell Trubisky has been re-inserted. It’s also worth noting the Saints are 0-4 against the spread in their last four home playoff games. GAME TOTALS PICK I also like the under in this spot. Brees’ arm is pretty much cooked at this point, and he relies entirely on the cerebral part of his game which I don’t think will be quite as effective in a playoff environment. There’s a lot of uncertainty with this Saints offense with Alvin Kamara set to return from COVID, while Michael Thomas has barely played this season. Both teams are in the top nine in yards per carry allowed, so don’t expect either ground game to have much success. Trubisky’s resurgence came mostly against very weak defenses like the Texans, Vikings, and Jaguars, and needless to say, this is a huge step up in competition for him. New Orleans has arguably the league’s best defense, so I certainly don’t see this one turning into a shootout. Once Trubisky had to play a real team this past week he came crashing down to earth against the Packers, and Chicago produced only 16 points.

Tennessee Titans vs. Green Bay Packers | Picks & Predictions NFL Week 16 | Sunday Night Football
Tennessee Titans vs. Green Bay Packers | Picks & Predictions NFL Week 16 | Sunday Night Football

Sunday Night Football Week 16 Matchup – Tennessee Titans vs. Green Bay Packers December 27, 2020, 8.20pm EDT, Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Rachael van Oranje and Jeff Reinebold give us their picks for tonight’s matchup! We’ve got a BIG matchup on Sunday Night Football between two opponents with lofty aspirations for playoff success this year. This should be a hotly contested game, in anything but hot conditions, as there is the expectation for a dumping of snow before kick off tonight! Be sure to check out our Titans and Packers predictions for our expert handicapper’s picks, both ATS and O/U. POINT SPREAD PICK Tennessee is fighting hard with Indianapolis to win the AFC South, and the Titans should at least go close when they take on current NFC top seed the Green Bay Packers. The Titans have been almost unstoppable on offense lately, thanks largely to star running back Derrick Henry. They have scored at least 30 points in each of their last five games, with Henry having rushed for over 100 yards in seven of his last 10 games. He now comes up against a Packers defense that has struggled against the run this season, with the forecast snow showers and freezing temperatures increasing the likelihood that the big cat gets plenty of carries. While the Titans have been an absolute juggernaut on offense, the same can’t be said for Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers has often looked flawless under center, but there have been occasions when the Packers have struggled to move the chains, most notably last week in the second half against the Panthers. Tennessee’s defense is by no means elite, but it has at times shown up when it has mattered against the pass, and should give the offense the chance to outscore their opponents. This one feels like more of a pick ‘em to me, so I love getting the Titans with a field goal here. GAME TOTALS PICK This is an extremely high line, but I still think it’s worth leaning towards the over. No team seems to be able to stop Tennessee’s offense, and Derrick Henry in particular. As previously noted, the Titans have been scoring for fun recently and I see no reason to think that this Green Bay team will be the one to come up with a solution. However, Tennessee’s defense has also been shipping plenty of points and it’s hard to see them stopping the offensive prowess of Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones. The over has cashed in five of Tennessee’s last six games, and a Sunday night shootout looks possible at Lambeau Field.
