The Indian team scripted history by winning a Test series for the first time ever in Australia. Virat Kohli and his men defeated the hosts by 2-1 in the four-match series to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Some outstanding performances from some of the Indian players made this unimaginable possible. Also, there were a few brilliant efforts from the Australian players.
