K-Vis Strikes Back

It was the second game of the 2006 Korean Series with the HanHwa Eagles playing the Samsung Lions in their home stadium in Daegu. Already down in the series 1-0, HanHwa was up 4-2 in the top of the 7th inning and their big hitter Jay Davis was at bat. Myself, Kenny and Jeff had branded him K-Vis from game one and it seemed to be paying off as he was 0 for the series up to this point. As you can see from the video, he ended the day 1 for the series. This turned out to be the only victory for HanHwa as the mighty Samsung Lions won in 6 games after a 15 inning tie left game 5 undecided. Ironically, while Jeff and I continued to scream K-Vis at Chamsil stadium in Seoul, Jay Davis struck out in the 9th inning to end not only the the game and the series but also his Korea Baseball career. After going 3 for 23 in the series, the HanHwa Eagles released him during the off-season.
