Widnes Vikings v Keighley Cougars 28th Feb 2010.wmv Rugby League Championship A complete nightmare start to Keighleys 2010 League season.
How can the first half and 2nd half be so different? Cougars left themselves with too much to do. That said the effort in the fightback was incredible. In my opinion James Haley's 2nd try in which he picked up an injury is a very strong contender for try of the season.
The first half was a bit of an arm wrestle. However in the second Keighley found the form they have lacked for some weeks and opened up a good lead on the Dons.
From watching this game Keighley ARLFC appeared to have not turned up for periods. The penalty count was high but could have been worse. A few offsides and forward passes. I don't think anybody would disagree the better team won on the day. The unbeaten record for 2013 has now gone, but the league is very much there for the taking. I filmed this from the half way line next to the West Bowling subs bench and coaching staff. Apologies for theirl language. I guess the respect campaign never reached there.
Fair play to Cougars who fought until the last minute and were rewarded with some winning pay. Raiders must have felt robbed, but I don't think they can honestly saw they all put 80 minutes in. The try disallowed for obstruction and head dropped. At that point it was a matter of when not if, for the Cougars comeback. Shickell for England!!!!!!
Ahh the good old days.. I hope Mick is well.
Cougars sailed past Workington Town in the grand Final at Warrington and Gary and JD were not lost for word in the Cougar Park bar following the game. Sorry for the poor light but it was the word said that were important.
