Hakkinen Explains Possible Reason Why Verstappen’s Teammates Are Failing
Hakkinen Explains Possible Reason Why Verstappen’s Teammates Are Failing

A lot of discussion and deliberation has been going on recently about who will and who should partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull. Many have been critical of current driver Alex Albon but former two-time F1 world champion Mika Hakkinen feels that the problem lies elsewhere as he has now elaborated on Unibet Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugwqu-OW4egjy39uoBt4AaABCQ 0:00 - Albon Not The Problem At Red Bull 1:15 - Fast Feed I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Albon Not The Problem At Red Bull Hakkinen began by explaining how Red Bull could have had a better race at Portimao “Red Bull Racing could have made this a stronger race if they had started on medium tyres. Max Verstappen showing strongly at first but then fading away” He further elaborated on Red Bull’s core problem “As I have said before, Red Bull Racing suffers from being a one-car team at many races, and again we saw a difficult race for Alex Albon, who finished one lap behind his teammate” “This is unusual since Alex is clearly a capable driver, just as Pierre Gasly was before him, yet driving the second Red Bull seems to be a problem. I am certain that Christian Horner recognizes how important it is for them to find a solution soon” Hakkinen signed off by reiterating Red Bull’s problem “A car setup which is too Verstappen-specific could be the issue, and it is really noticeable how much more competitive Pierre has been since moving back to Red Bull’s junior team” Fast Feed AlphaTauri team principal Franz Tost is “delighted that Pierre will remain with” them “for the 2021 season” He further pointed out that Gasly “has been part of the Red Bull driver pool for many years and” he hopes Gasly “will remain in the Red Bull family for many seasons ahead” He further praised Pierre for being “highly competitive, thanks to his great race craft, extracting the car’s potential at every race and giving valuable feedback to his engineers” Gasly, meanwhile, announced that he is “extremely happy to continue with Scuderia AlphaTauri for another season!” He also laid emphasis on the fact that “this year is going very well, and” they “are on track to have” their “most successful season in the team’s history” Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo feels that the tag of ‘best of the rest’ “is an ungrateful place of honor” as Max Verstappen can never seriously challenge for a win at most races He further added that this has “been the case for years for everyone who does not drive at Mercedes. Very tiring” Former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone feels that “Red Bull should” sign Nico Hulkenberg as “he is fast, smart and always says what he thinks” He further added that Hulkenberg “is not like other drivers who do exactly what is asked of them” which is a type that “fits Red Bull” Former F1 driver turned commentator Johnny Herbert feels that defending world champion Lewis Hamilton is “the best racing driver” Britain has “ever had” which is why he “deserves” to be knighted Mika Hakkinen has stated that “a lot of people say Lewis drives the best car, but there's nothing easy about driving these complex machines and driving them to their limits” Alex Albon is of the opinion that Portimao “was one of” his “stronger weekends this year” in regards to his practice and qualifying Should Lewis Hamilton be knighted?

Grosjean Openly Reveals Why Haas Didn't Re-Sign Him and Magnussen
Grosjean Openly Reveals Why Haas Didn't Re-Sign Him and Magnussen

While it was rumored that Haas will be dropping one of their drivers, they have now confirmed that they will be replacing both drivers. While many reasons have been suggested, the outgoing drivers and team principal Guenther Steiner have now revealed the real reasons why the team chose to go down this road Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgzFdvDW3Yi547naFDx4AaABCQ 0:00 - Haas Looking At Drivers With Money 2:02 - Fast Feed I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Haas Looking At Drivers With Money Romain Grosjean began by explaining how he already knew that the writing was on the wall and why he was still surprised “I knew probably one of us would be out at the end of the year, just because the situation around the world and Covid has made it very hard financially for a lot of companies around the world, so I knew one of us would go out” He then divulged the reason Steiner gave him for dropping both drivers “I said to Guenther on the call when he called me that I was expecting one of us [to leave], and he said, ‘No, for financial reasons, I need both of you out.’ So, fair enough, I fully understand. It's been a tough year with Covid in a lot of industries and companies have suffered from it. The team is going a different path and I wish them luck and the best for the future” Kevin Magnussen then shed some light on his situation “I can't bring the kind of backing that you need in Formula 1. I have sponsors and I have partners, but it's not at all big in this world, and it's not enough to make a difference really, for me” Guenther Steiner offered more details including what they could be looking for in their future drivers “We wanted some change going forward. We just need to see how we go forward with the budget cap, where we invest best our money and what we do. So that was the reason, we want to make a change to what we are doing and we need to get prepared for the new regulations in 2022 when it is a new world for everybody” He further elaborated on this while adding that financially backed drivers will be on their list “We could be [looking for a driver with money and talent] as well. Talent always needs to be there, not only money, talent is more important, but some people have got sponsorship they bring with them so we are looking at all the options out there as well” He signed off by hinting at the timeframe for an announcement on their future driver line-up “The market is pretty small this year, I think we have lucked into that one this year, which is why we are not in a hurry to make the announcement” Fast Feed Racing Point’s Lance Stroll feels that “in hindsight, yes” he “should have got tested” but at that time, he “didn’t think” he “had Covid” His teammate Sergio Perez has said that if he joins another team in F1 “the team must have a nice project. Otherwise” he “won't go” Williams’ George Russell has stated that he has “a contract for next year. From a contractual point of view, nothing has changed with the arrival of the new owners” He added that he hasn’t “talked to the new owners about” his “contract yet, mainly because” he’s “not worried about that” The FIA has confirmed that in view of the current pandemic, they have reduced points required to get a super license from 40 to 30 A driver can score 30 points by finishing in the top four of the Formula 2 championship or by winning the Formula 3 championship Kevin Magnussen accepts that he hasn’t “won any races in seven years and it wouldn't happen in 2021 if” he “continued in Formula 1” “That is why” he is “now looking for a new challenge in other classes” added Magnussen Ferrari’s Head of Performance Development Enrico Cardile feels “that the rear end offers the biggest margin for improvement” on their car He added that this is “because it's the area of the car where pretty significant changes have been introduced in the technical regulations” and “because of the way” their “car is laid out” He also added that “it is essential that” they “know the concepts” they “are working on now are the right one, so as not to lose time in 2021” Guenther Steiner “would like to thank both Romain (Grosjean) and Kevin (Magnussen) for their hard work and commitment to the Haas F1 Team over the past seasons” He added that “Romain was a fundamental part of” their “company as” they “tried to get a driver on board with both speed and experience” He further stated that “When Kevin joined a season later”, they “saw an immediate return with both cars scoring points” He also appreciated “their input and experience to continue the team to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December” Do you agree with Haas not sign signing either of their current drivers for next season?

Racing Point’s Latest Controversial Plan
Racing Point’s Latest Controversial Plan

One of the big talking points during the 2020 season for some time was the controversy surrounding allegations that Racing Point had illegally copied Mercedes’ 2019 championship-winning car. New rules have since been introduced to stop this. It now seems that they may be courting new controversy by planning to upgrade their suspension without spending any tokens. The suspension would normally require tokens but Racing Point can use a loophole as has now been explained by the team’s technical director Andrew Green Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugx_QoSuVz59t6HYfch4AaABCQ 0:00 - Racing Point’s Latest Controversial Plan 1:40 - Fast Feed I'm your host Dillon Shelley and first up on Formula World: Racing Point’s Latest Controversial Plan Green began by explaining how copying isn’t something exclusive to them “We keep looking at the other cars and looking for new ideas or inspiration. If other teams claim they won't and come up with all their own ideas, then they are dreaming” He then pointed out the recent upgrades introduced by Renault which allegedly draws inspiration from the Mercedes car “Has anyone complained that they have copied it? The same applies to Renault. The whole front part of the car is the copying and pasting of the Mercedes concept. The teams that shout the loudest copy the most” He then explained why they accepted the punishment they were handed for copying the 2019 Mercedes “This is a kind of peace treaty. What we had done had upset some people. Although we have never done anything illegal” Green then revealed that they can introduce an upgrade to the suspension without using any of their available tokens “I think we can continue with that. The rules allow it and so we will continue with the plans. We've also checked with the FIA and they don't think there is a problem” He signed off by explaining why “The regulations allow teams to upgrade their cars to the 2020 specifications, so that seems fair to us. We chose to drive the 2019 suspension before the corona crisis, and that shouldn't be used against us now” Fast Feed 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg has “heard that” Renault “have had a breakthrough in the wind tunnel, at the rear near the diffuser” “As a result, the team now has more aerodynamic options. They have made great strides and improved their grip significantly” Williams’ George Russell feels that a two-day race weekend “would be a little bit chaotic” but also added that “three practices and four hours of practice is too much. Two sessions would be nice” He further added that when “you make a mistake in the simulator, you press the reset button and start again. In reality, you give your mechanics a bit of work, to put it mildly” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner thinks that “F1 has decisions to make about what the future is” and feels that they “have to reduce the variability between the engines” He also added that they “have to be careful that F1 doesn’t become a dinosaur though” so that the future generations will “still fall in love with the sport” McLaren’s Carlos Sainz has stated that “Red Bull is Red Bull, it has its way of doing things, and they have helped many drivers, about 50 or 60, with money that they all appreciate” He, however, added that “they also set very high standards. You had to win or you were kicked out” He further revealed that “his father is demanding, but” he sees “him as understanding and good at giving guidance compared to [Helmut] Marko”, Red Bull’s advisor Is Red Bull too demanding with their junior drivers or are their expectations fair?

Why Alonso Was Surprised After Driving 2020 Renault Car
Why Alonso Was Surprised After Driving 2020 Renault Car

Initially when it was announced that Fernando Alonso would be making a return to F1 with Renault, many felt that it wasn’t a wise decision as Renault weren’t seen as overly competitive. However, they have been improving steadily and have since scored a podium finish. Alonso also got a taste of the 2020 car during a filming day recently. He has now given his opinion on the current Renault car Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgyYswg7mPB79D0UhJJ4AaABCQ 0:00 - Alonso Surprised By Renault’s Progress 4:51 - Fast Feed Alonso began by describing how it felt to drive an F1 car again It felt amazing to be able to drive these cars after two years and feel the speed again, how everything comes so fast, corner after corner, the performance under braking and all the things a Formula 1 car has to offer. To feel it once again felt nice. The filming day was held in Barcelona which happens to be Alonso’s home track. He gave his thoughts on that Of course. It made it special to be back in Barcelona. I remember the year 2000, I drove the Benetton here with the Enstone guys. Now, in 2020, it’s with Renault, so it’s a special track and I have lots of good memories here. It’s a track I know very well, so it’s been a good day. Alonso then elaborated on everything he did during this test program Most of the day was a little bit of filming with some drones on track and some action behind the camera. At the same time, it was about working with the team to do a couple of laps and for me to find comfort in the seat, the steering wheel and the pedals. These are things for next year which, over winter, could be very tight. It’s our first steps. He then explained why the car and the engine surprised him while accepting that he couldn’t push the car to its limits I think the car was a nice surprise. We know the car is performing well at the last couple of races and I felt the grip and certainly good potential in it. Also the engine, the last time I drove a Renault engine was in 2018 and I felt a step forwards, which is quite important there. Everything felt good. I wasn’t able to maximise the performance of the car because I’m not up to speed yet, but I’m happy with the day. He further explained how he is already feeling at home with the team I felt at home already from day one. There is this atmosphere at Enstone, and in this team, that everything is so simple and logical in everything they do. I’m comfortable here with Renault. A lot of the people who worked today, worked as mechanics in my days in the team. When you know the faces and the team, everything comes a little easier. Alonso then gave his impressions on the team’s recent performances including Daniel Ricciardo’s podium Absolutely, I watch every race. I’m in the weekend even from a distance. I follow every lap. The podium was very well deserved, finally. I’m so happy for everyone. Cyril might be a bit worried for the tattoo but, other than that, it was a fantastic moment. He also revealed how he congratulated the team after their first podium in 10 years Yes, absolutely. I was waiting for the last lap. I was so happy for everyone. I wrote the message and then had my finger on send until Daniel crossed the line. I didn’t want to send it in case for luck reasons! Alonso signed off by responding to whether the podium makes him more excited for his return next year I’m still the same after Sunday. I know what the team is capable of and I know the prospects for the future are good. The podium is a thing that had to happen. Most important thing is to follow the trend that we see now, keep the momentum into next year, especially for 2022, and I think we know how to do it. Fast Feed Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo stated Hamilton “has been in the sport for over a decade now and it is not easy to keep showing that level of consistency” He also feels that “the gift he received, one of Michael's helmets, is one of the coolest gifts” he has “seen in the sport” Sidelined F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg has explained that “everything happened so fast” during the race at the Nurburgring McLaren’s Carlos Sainz has divulged that he “didn't feel comfortable in the car” after the latest upgrades were installed His teammate Lando Norris reaffirmed this by stating that when he “had the new parts on” his car and he “never really felt confident” Ferrari's sports director, Laurent Mekies feels that their junior drivers “are at the point where” they are getting close to the level of Formula 1” Toto Wolff has said that “from a sporting point of view” the suggestion to reduce race weekends to just Saturdays and Sundays gets his “vote” His driver Lewis Hamilton agrees as “it means that 22 days a year, 20 less cars will tear around the track and pollute the air” Sebastian Vettel, however, feels that “the preparation for the Grand Prix will then take place behind closed doors” which won’t be good for the fans Which Ferrari junior should be first to get an F1 seat?

Haas Reveal They Have 10 Driver Options for 2021
Haas Reveal They Have 10 Driver Options for 2021

With Sebastian Vettel confirming that he will be driving for Aston Martin next year in place of Sergio Perez, the driver market has another free agent in the form of Perez. However, the number of seats remaining is decreasing with each day. Teams with open seats still remaining are now spoilt for choice and Haas team principal Gunther Steiner has now elaborated on this Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugw8o8bfACe0FrA3kj54AaABCQ 0:00 - 10 Drivers On Haas Shortlist 1:35 - Fast Feed Steiner began by explaining that they are approaching the driver market with an open mind “We are speaking with everybody, and we need to see what we want to do and then decide what we are going to do. I don't think there's many seats free in the moment anyway, so that is on my side” He further elaborated on this “Everybody's considered, who is on the market. We lay everything on a table and then we see what we want. What do we want to do? Do we want to keep the drivers we have got? Do we want experienced drivers? Do we want to start with young drivers? Do we do a mix of it? Everything is on the table” He then pointed out the good position they find themselves in with regards to signing new drivers “It is amazing what is around in the moment. That's why you see me very calm. Because there are only the 20 seats, and we have got 10 potential people which could do the job, which is good. Two of them we have got already” He signed off by discussing his thoughts about Sergio Perez while also talking about another driver he thinks is good “I respect him a lot, you know what he did. I mean, as always said also with Sebastian, it's a pity if we would lose him in Formula 1. The same with Nico Hulkenberg not being here. They're all good people. I don't know what we're going to do. I said, there are a lot of options there” Fast Feed Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko reiterated that their chief designer Adrian Newey “is certainly under contract with” them while addressing rumours that Newey might be signed by Aston Martin He further explained that “Adrian recently got to test a rare Aston Martin and thanked Stroll for it. Nothing more” He also thinks that their driver Alex Albon “is fast when he has the same conditions as Max Verstappen and things are running normally” He also reiterated that “as long as Alex meets expectations and continues to develop, he is” their candidate” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, meanwhile, has acknowledged that retired driver Nico Hulkenberg “is a very strong driver who is available and still looking for a seat” Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel has surmised that “it's a bit of a struggle with the car but it's been a fight all year” Alex Albon feels that It's all about “working with the team and getting comfortable with the car. At points, you just have to get on with it and drive. And that's where Max is very quick” He also pointed out that teammate Max Verstappen is “experienced as well in his sixth year now with the team and” that he is “getting there” Defending world champion Lewis Hamilton feels that “it will be difficult to keep” Verstappen “behind” during the Tuscan GP as Red Bull “make up for around half a second during the race” Helmut Marko thinks that they're “not as far [behind] as in previous races. If qualifying mode still existed” they “would definitely be a second behind” Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto doesn’t “know if anyone has been scanning” Mercedes’ “car” with a 3D camera and that it wasn't Ferrari “in any case. So” he “can't respond to that” He also doesn’t “think taking pictures and scanning is a problem at all. In the end” “it is wrong to reverse engineer the whole car” He also suggested that “the fact that” they “told” Sebastian Vettel “very early in the season” their “decision for next year was really to give him all the chances to find a seat for 2021” He further added that Vettel will “do well in Aston Martin or Racing Point or whatever it is” McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl has revealed that “at the moment” driver Carlos Sainz “is still fully involved in everything” they “are doing here at the track and also back home” He also thinks that they “will go ahead like this until the end of the season” What should Haas do with their driver lineup?

Lando Norris Says They Got "F****d Over" By "S**t Rule"
Lando Norris Says They Got "F****d Over" By "S**t Rule"

The race at Monza produced one of the unlikeliest podiums ever with a punter reportedly winning €33,398 on a bet worth 20 cents by correctly predicting this result. The podium consisting of Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly, McLaren’s Carlos Sainz, and Racing Point’s Lance Stroll has been lauded by many as one of the most exciting in a long time and it came off the back of some really unique circumstances. One of these happened to be the red flag which essentially gave Lance Stroll a free pit stop. One man who is not too happy about all this is McLaren’s Lando Norris who just missed out on a podium and he has now let his displeasure be known Link to poll: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgwtupJilVc11vSsllx4AaABCQ 0:00 - “Stupid Rule” Gifted Stroll Lucky Podium 2:13 - Fast Feed It all began during the post-race radio communications with his team “I think we just got f****d over a bit with the red flag and Stroll getting the new tires. A bit of a s**t rule in my opinion but it is what it is“ In the post-race interviews, Norris would add to that. He started off by explaining how he couldn’t have done any more “I was very happy with what I did. I don't think I could have done any more. I kept the Mercedes behind for the whole second stint and they qualified one second ahead of us” He then went over how the red flag led to benefits for some “I got no chance really to get past Stroll unless he makes a massive mistake which he didn't do. So, I think I did the best job I could today. As a team we did the best we could. We just got screwed over a little bit with the red flag and people benefiting” He further elaborated on how Stroll got a free pit stop “It could have been a better result if we didn't have that red flag because I think we could have been ahead of Gasly and we could have been ahead of Stroll especially because he didn't have to do a pitstop. He just got a free tire change” He then criticized the rule that allowed Stroll to change tires under the red flag conditions without having to pit again “It’s a bit of a stupid rule and we just lost out because of that” Gasly also benefitted from the red flag and would go on to win the race but Norris explained why that wasn’t as unfair as Lance Stroll getting on the podium “Some people like Pierre Gasly, who obviously drove very well at the same time but he boxed before and he came out [ahead] and that's the way it is. I think that's more fair but for someone who doesn't have to do a pit stop, it's kind of too much of a benefit let's say” “I guess I'm a bit annoyed with that because [I had] a chance to be on the podium for us as a team with Carlos” Fast Feed Honda F1 Managing Director Masashi Yamamoto is “still very grateful to” Toro Rosso who would become Alpha Tauri “for believing in Honda's potential” in 2018 As “at that time, Honda was a racehorse without speed and prone to injury” He further added that he has “no doubt that Honda was rescued by Toro Rosso/AphaTauri. It hasn't been an easy road but the relationship between” them “is more than just a team and an engine supplier” and “that it's mutual love” He also revealed that “of the four drivers” in the Red Bull family, they “have been working with Pierre the longest. The relationship started during the Japanese Super Formula in 2017” He also feels that Pierre Gasly “has a very smart and open personality” Former F1 driver turned commentator Martin Brundle pointed out that “only Ferrari had a worse day than Red Bull” at Monza He further elaborated on how “Max Verstappen had a poor start and dropped out in lap 30 with technical gremlins” and Alex Albon ended up “being 15 of 16 runners, whilst having to soak up Gasly, the man he replaced, winning the race” Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has explained that “if you create a power mode for the whole race, the drivers don't have that extra to overtake. That makes it more difficult” He also added that “this applies to the big teams as well as the small teams. That's probably why you saw fewer overtaking actions” Former F1 driver Nick Heidfeld thinks that “Pierre Gasly won sensationally at Monza” He also finds it “especially interesting when you consider that he was no match for Verstappen at Red Bull last year and was transferred back to Alpha Tauri” Simon Roberts, who has worked at McLaren and Force India in the past has been named as the acting team principal “for Williams during this transitional period” Pirelli boss Mario Isola thinks that “as with any new venue, Mugello represents a bit of an unknown for most of the drivers and an entirely clean sheet of paper when it comes to strategy” Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo feels that “being faster than Mercedes was surprising” during the Italian GP He further explained how Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas “wasn't very fast for Mercedes terms” as he “expected him to come back, but that didn't happen” Should changing tyres under a red flag be banned?

Sainz - "Ferrari Need To Make A Very, Very, Very, Very Big Step"

A year on from securing pole and winning at Spa, Ferrari struggled to come anywhere close to the pace of the frontrunners. Current McLaren driver Carlos Sainz is set to join Ferrari next year. I know they are the first ones that are not happy with the performance this year” He then explained why Ferrari is struggling so much at Spa and elaborated on how it isn’t the normal trend in F1 “When you lose so much power from one year to the other which is actually not the normal trend in Formula 1. Normally you are expecting to stay the same or gain but when you lose so much power you know that in Spa you're gonna get in trouble” “So, I think it's an abnormality to see Ferrari so far back. But it is normal after what we saw in the first race how much they're losing on the straights” He then went into the details of what he will do as soon as he becomes a Ferrari driver “I’m going to be completely honest, of course, I want [more power]. I mean I’m the first one that will be there in the factory pushing to find more power and I’m pushing everyone as soon as I get there” “Ferrari has a lot of resources, a lot of power benches so I’m sure they are there at the factory working extremely hard to get the power that they've lost from one year to another” He summed up his words by putting forward his thoughts on what Ferrari need to do while reaffirming his faith in the team to turn things around “And it's a long way, they need to do a very very very very big step in order to get back to where we all are but I think if someone can do it is Ferrari” Fast Feed Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel revealed that they “tried everything that” they “can and a lot of effort went into” car “to try and make things better” but it’s “not enough” Mercedes’s Valtteri Bottas feels that he needs “to attack if” he “still” wants “to keep the title hopes” Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton divulged that he “woke up to the news of Chadwick Boseman passing away and that news broke” him and that “it wasn't easy to get back in focus but” he “wanted to drive to perfection for him” Renault’s managing director Cyril Abiteboul reiterated that he has “always said that” they're “not desperate for a customer team. But of course, it would be better to have partner teams in the paddock” He further elaborated that “it would be important for the further development of the engine - and also politically” Red Bull team principal Christian Horner thinks that Mercedes “love to hype up how others are the favorites” but “they’re going to be tough when they turn their engine modes up” He also added that Red Bull “also have the right countermeasures in the pipeline, which hopefully will work out well” in closing the gap to the Mercs He also pointed out that “Mercedes is like a well-oiled machine, a machine in which a lot of money is put into it. Their total package is simply very good” Toto Wolff, meanwhile, is of the opinion that they “are 30 points ahead. That's nothing” and that they “always knew it wouldn't be easy and” they “can't sit back and relax” Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto indicated that they “lacked grip when braking and accelerating and therefore performance in the car” He also accepted that they “certainly weren't competitive” Former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde feels that "surely” Ferrari “have something to show” why they are slow as “there has to be something behind it” If you were Sainz, would you be doubting your switch to Ferrari?

Red Bull Confirm Hulkenberg Contacted Them

Sidelined F1 driver Nico Hulkenberg has been trying to make a return to F1 and he seemingly helped his cause by impressing many during his stand-in duties for Racing Point a couple of weeks ago. One possibility suggested for his return is Red Bull and their advisor Helmut Marko has now given his thoughts on this. To celebrate 100K Subscribers I'm giving away 10 Formula World shirts for FREE! However, this speculation got a bit more traction following Marko’s comments during an interview with ORF after Hulkenberg qualified in 3rd position for the 70th Anniversary GP "He was away for half a year, comes back and puts the car on the third starting position. He has my phone number" Marko followed this up by revealing to Motorsport-Total that Hulkenberg had indeed contacted him “He let us know that he is available” Marko quickly added that this does not automatically mean a Red Bull contract for the German “That doesn't mean that he will be in our car” “It was a great performance. But if everyone comes to us about whom I say drove a great race, we would need a team with ten cars. If one of them does a good job and you acknowledge that, it doesn't mean that he'll get a contract with us” Fast Feed Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly feels that “the situation looks completely different after twelve months. On a professional level, the past twelve months have been extremely good” He further elaborated on how he “achieved” his “first Formula 1 podium in Brazil. That was really positive.
