Once again we saw defensive tactics and a complete lack of desire to win the game. Fulham without a doubt deserved all three points in this Premier League encounter. Huge game at Elland Road for both teams as Leeds look to halt a mini slump and Newcastle United continue their push for a top ten place in the Premier League. Last time out in the Premier League Leeds United suffered a 2-1 home defeat to West Ham while Newcastle United gained a 2-1 win at home to West Brom. The question is, will Steve Bruce allow his team to actually go on the front foot and play attacking football or will he stay with his defensive tactics? Newcastle United 2 WBA 1 Premier League Match Review. Newcastle United took another three points to move to 11th in the Premier League at St. James' Park. It was a very strange game as Newcastle United took the lead after only 20 seconds but then decided to sit back and let WBA have the ball. However, after WBA equalised Steve Bruce decided to go on the front foot and made some very attacking changes which actually changed the game. Dwight Gayle returned from a long time injury to score a brilliant header which ended up being the winner and bagging Newcastle United the 3 points in the Premier League. Newcastle United v West Brom Preview. Premier League 2020/21. The Premier League returns to St. James' Park on Saturday as Newcastle United take on West Brom. Newcastle United have had 2 weeks between matched due to their Covid issue within the squad while West Brom need to bounce back after a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Crystal Palace. I am confident of Newcastle United getting three points providing they go on the front foot from the start and put West Brom under pressure. It also depends on where Steve Bruce plays his attacking players, they need to play in their correct positions. Three points for Newcastle United will hopefully see them move into the top ten but for West Brom it would be a huge three points to help them in the battle against relegation. Crystal Palace 0 Newcastle United 2 Premier League Match Review. Callum Wilson at it again. Newcastle United came away with three points from Selhurst Park on Friday night in the Premier League after goals from Callum Wilson and Joelinton. Once again they had to rely on goalkeeper Karl Darlow being on top form throughout the match. It wasn't the best Premier League performance from Newcastle United but at the end of the day it's a massive three points. A couple of players really didn't show up including Miguel Almiron and Jeff Hendrick which I discuss in the video. Southampton 2 Newcastle United 0 Premier League Review. Newcastle United lost last night by 2 goals to 0 at St Mary's against a very good Southampton side in the Premier League. However, Newcastle United were simply pathetic and unfortunately this video is a big rant about Steve Bruce and how he must go before it's too late. No planning, no tactics, nothing!! We were simply all over the place and let Southampton dictate the game from start to finish. Newcastle United are simply playing some of the worst football I have ever seen and have the worst manager in the Premier League. The players need to take a good hard look at themselves as well but when they are being set up to just survive in the game we stand no chance. Southampton on the other hand went top of the Premier League. Well done to them, they have a great manager, great work ethic and play as a team!! Newcastle United travel down to St. Marys for their first Friday evening fixture for quite some time where they will face a very in form Southampton. Newcastle United will have been given great confidence from their last match beating Everton 2-1 but Southampton are on a roll and currently sit 5th in the Premier League table. This will be a very tough challenge for Newcastle United but can they show some intent to win the game from the start of this Premier League encounter? If Steve Bruce has learnt anything from the Everton game it must be that Newcastle United are a far better team when they actually try and push forward to win the game.
