Remembering Diego Maradona: football legend dies aged 60
Diego Maradona, widely regarded as one of the greatest football players of all time, has died at the age of 60. Maradona was a uniquely gifted player with a bewitching style that was all his own. He rose from the streets of Buenos Aires to reach the pinnacle of his sport leading Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986 and scoring the infamous 'Hand of God' goal along the way. Maradona played for Boca Juniors, Barcelona and Napoli in a storied club career, and later managed Argentina at the 2010 World Cup. Declaring three days of national mourning, Alberto Fernández, the president of Argentina, said: 'You took us to the top of the world. You made us immensely happy. You were the greatest of them all'. Defender scores from double scissor kick after ball rebounds off crossbar in Danish cup
Nicolai Geertsen scored a superb bicycle kick during a Danish cup match between Slagelse BI and Lyngby BK. After a corner was whipped in, Geertsen met it in the air with a brilliant scissor kick only for it to cannon off the crossbar. However, quick reactions from the defender saw him jump off the ground and swing at the ball again, firing into the net past the goalkeeper. I don't consider Spurs title contenders, says Mourinho after win at Burnley
José Mourinho says he does not view his Tottenham side as being in title contention. 'I will never consider ourselves title contenders,' said the manager, 'I assume that every match we will play, it doesn't matter where and it doesn't matter against who, we go to win.' Player throws spare ball to 'tackle' opponent in Macedonia first division
A match between Makedonija Gjorce Petrov and Akademija Pandev descends into farce after a quick throw-in when one player chases another carrying a spare football. As the attacker surges down the wing the defender throws the spare ball at his feet, knocking the match away and causing the game to be stopped.
