The Virginia Tech Hokies defeated Louisville, 75-43 for their 19th win of the season. Justyn Mutts led the Hokies in scoring with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the win. Keve Aluma and Darius Maddox scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds each for the Hokies. Ten Hokies in all scored in the victory. Sydney Curry led the Cardinals with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
The Duke Blue Devils gave Coach K a gift of a big win in his last regular season ACC road game, an 86-56 win at Pitt. Trevor Keels led the way with 27 points on 10-15 shooting from the field, including 5-8 from 3-point land. Paolo Banchero added 21 points on 7-10 shooting, 3-3 from 3-point land, for Duke. A.J. Griffin scored 12 and grabbed 7 rebound, and Wendell Moore Jr. scored 13, had 5 assists and 6 rebounds in the win. Pitt’s John Hugley led the Panthers with 19 points and Jamarius Burton added 13 points.
Duke vs. Pittsburgh: The #4 Blue Devils locked up the #1 seed in the ACC Tournament with a 86-56 win over the Panthers. Duke made 11 of 22 three-point attempts and shot 59.3% overall from the field in the game. Trevor Keels was the man for Duke in this game. Keels was 5-8 from three-point range and scored a game-high 27 points. Paolo Banchero added 21 points. For Pittsburgh, John Hugley had 19 points and six rebounds. Syracuse's Cole Swider had one of the best games ever by a player visiting the Dean Dome. Swider scored 36 points on 14-21 shooting, including 7-11 from three-point range. He was just one point short of the record for most pots scored by a North Carolina opponent in the Dean Smith Center. Syracuse vs. North Carolina: The Tar Heels were tested, but they secured a double-bye in the ACC Tournament by defeating the Orange, 88-79 in overtime. North Carolina started the overtime with an 8-0 run in the first two minutes to take control of the game. Four UNC players scored 17 or more points in the game, with Brady Manek scoring a team-high 22 points. Armando Bacot had 17 points and 18 rebounds. Caleb Love added 21 points and R.J. Davis scored 17. For Syracuse, Cole Swider scored a career-high 36 points, one point shy of the Dean Smith Center record for most points scored by a UNC opponent. The #3 NC State Wolfpack pulled out a 68-66 road victory at Virginia Tech to close out regular season play in ACC Women’s Basketball. Elissa Cunane led the Wolfpack with 22 points in the win. Kayla Jones scored 12 points and Jada Boyd added 11 points and 5 rebounds for NC State. Elizabeth Kitley led the way for the Hokies with 18 points and 7 rebounds.
