Lions Cricket are a professional cricket franchise which represents Central Gauteng, formerly Transvaal, and North West, formerly known as Western Transvaal. Its member unions are the Central Gauteng Lions cricket team and North West first class cricket who merged in 2003 to form the franchise which is the highest level of cricket in the region and a feeder to the South African National Cricket team.
