The 2023 Tour de Suisse concludes with one last against-the-clock effort between St. Gallen and Abtwil. This 25.9km ITT is a harder challenge than the opening stage, featuring a big rise in the last 10km, and ramps that reach up to 8%. It's here that this year's race winner will be decided. Tour De Suisse 2023 Highlights Men - Stage 7
The race organisers of the Tour de Suisse confirmed yesterday evening that the final two stages of the race would go ahead as planned following the tragic death of Gino Mäder. The decision to continue with the final two stages was made following consultation with Mäder’s family, along with the riders, teams and race’s staff. Bahrain-Victorious have confirmed that Gino Mäder, 26, died on Friday morning after crashing during stage 5 of the Tour de Suisse. Der Furkapass (HC, 16,5 km bei 6,4 %) und der Oberalppass (Kat. 1, 10,7 km bei 5,5 %) kommen früh auf der Etappe, aber es sind der Albulapass (HC, 17,4 km bei 6,8 %) und die 10 km lange Abfahrt zur Ziellinie in La Punt, wo die Etappe entschieden wird. GC Battle On The Final Climb! | Tour De Suisse 2023 Highlights Men - Stage 4
The climbing ramps up on stage 4 with a 153km route between Monthey and Leukerbad. The first half of the stage is more or less flat, but then comes the ascent of Crans-Montana - recently used as a summit finish at the Giro - followed by the Höhenweg (19km at 4.5%), before a short descent and a final kick to the line.
