Tour De Suisse 2023 Highlights Men - Stage 7
The race organisers of the Tour de Suisse confirmed yesterday evening that the final two stages of the race would go ahead as planned following the tragic death of Gino Mäder. The decision to continue with the final two stages was made following consultation with Mäder’s family, along with the riders, teams and race’s staff. Climbing Exhibition And A GC Reshuffle! | Tour De Suisse 2023 Highlights Men - Stage 5
Stage 5 is a brute of a day: 210.2km long and filled with big climbs and tricky descents. The HC Furkapass (16.5km at 6.4%) and cat. 1 Oberalppass (10.7km at 5.5%) come early in the stage, but it's the HC Albulapass (17.4km at 6.8%) and the 10km descent to the line in La Punt where the stage will be decided. GC Battle On The Final Climb! | Tour De Suisse 2023 Highlights Men - Stage 4
The climbing ramps up on stage 4 with a 153km route between Monthey and Leukerbad. The first half of the stage is more or less flat, but then comes the ascent of Crans-Montana - recently used as a summit finish at the Giro - followed by the Höhenweg (19km at 4.5%), before a short descent and a final kick to the line. The final stage of this year's Tour de Suisse heads to Liechtenstein for a decisive race against the clock. At 25.4km in length and with only 133m of climbing, this is a course for the purists and one where the stronger time trialists could take back more than a minute on their GC rivals. Stage 7 sees the riders right back into the high-mountains with a 196km-long gruelling odyssey from Ambri to Malbun. The final HC ascent (12.3km at 8.8%) is devilishly difficult with ramps of up to 15%. It’s a proper test and one that will not just decide today's victor but potentially the overall winner of this year’s race. Solo que esta vez el pelotón comenzará en Ambri y se dirigirá hacia el paso de Lukmanier para llegar a Malbun a través de Surselva y Chur. El equipo del líder tiene que volver a darlo todo hoy para defender el maillot amarillo. Además, aquellos pilotos que no tienen cualidades contrarreloj tienen que tirarlo todo. Será una etapa animada que seguramente traerá estructuras claras a la clasificación general.
