Football fans are back in J.League stadiums after more than four months. This was the experience on the first weekend back at NACK5 Stadium as Omiya Ardija took on Tokyo Verdy in J2. There were many safety measures in place, including temperature checks and alcohol hand sanitiser at the entrance. Masks were compulsory. The attendance was also limited, with seats blocked to maintain social distancing. And that wasn't all. Artificial crowd noise, no singing, no flag waving and cardboard cutout squirrels on the terraces. It's football, but not as we know it.
