El peor momento fue la llave que el jugador Yabusele le propinó a Dante Exum. Los médicos le han detectado una rotura en un tendón, lo que haría que el australiano se perdiera lo que resta de temporada. Una acabó la trifulca, los árbitros expulsaron a un total de 21 jugadores, finalizado en ese momento el partido por la imposibilidad de poder continuarlo y cuyo resultado fue la derrota del Real Madrid por 80-95. En la rueda de prensa, Rudy Fernández declaró que "hay que pedir perdón a los aficionados y a todo el baloncesto".
