Wu Yanni is one of China's most well known track and field athletes, specializing in the 100 meter hurdles. Born in Sichuan Province in 1997, she has won multiple national titles and set some of the fastest hurdle times ever recorded by a Chinese woman. Her performances on the track have earned her widespread recognition, but she has also become a frequent topic of discussion for reasons unrelated to her athletic achievements. Unlike many athletes, Wu often competes wearing makeup, has visible tattoos, and embraces a confident public image, making her stand out in a sport where athletes are often expected to maintain a more traditional appearance. Her style has attracted criticism from some people who believe athletes should focus solely on competition and avoid drawing attention to their appearance. Wu has pushed back against those views, arguing that wearing makeup and expressing her personality do not affect her performance. She has said that makeup gives her confidence and helps her feel her best when competing. Supporters praise her for challenging stereotypes and showing that athletes can be both competitive and expressive, while critics continue to debate her image. Despite the controversy, Wu remains one of the most recognizable figures in Chinese athletics and continues to be known for both her results and her individuality.
On the surface, it's about a foosball goalkeeper. Underneath, it's about purpose. This film explores a feeling almost everyone experiences: Feeling overlooked. Believing others have more important jobs. Wanting recognition. Thinking happiness lies in someone else's role. The goalkeeper mistakes visibility for value. Only after leaving his position does he discover that importance is often invisible. 🎬 Credits: Goalie Created by Maarten Lemmens at Ringling College of Art and Design 🎵 Music Credits: Funk Abnormal - Slowed ⚖️ FAIR USE DISCLAIMER This video contains short clips for commentary, analysis, and educational storytelling under fair use. This is the behind-the-scenes story of one of the most legendary repair jobs in motorsport history, from Rally Poland — Round 7 of the 2016 WRC (World Rally Championship). French driver Stéphane Lefebvre, competing for Abu Dhabi Racing with technical support from Citroën, suffered a major crash during the stage. His Citroën DS3 WRC came into the service park with its entire rear end and lower suspension mangled almost beyond recognition. Under WRC regulations, the allowed mid-event service time is just 30 minutes. Fail to get the car running within that window, and it's instant disqualification — about as dire as it gets. Without hesitation, dozens of veteran Citroën Racing mechanics took heavy hammers to the chassis, beating out the dents, realigning the panels, and rebuilding the core suspension components from the ground up. Hitting the 30-minute limit almost to the second, the rally car roared back out onto the course. Watching the crew work in perfect sync is proof that motorsport is never a race run by the driver alone — it's a great sport where the entire team runs alongside, pouring out blood and sweat where no one can see.
