#MLB #yankees The Yankees beat the Blue Jays in exciting fashion, 6-5 on Tuesday night and then 5-3 on Wednesday afternoon to sweep Toronto out of New York. The heroes of the quick series were Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Gleyber Torres. Judge hit his first walk-off home run ever in Tuesday's game and Torres singlehandedly beat Toronto on Wednesday afternoon driving in all five runs. Plus, is it too early to talk about how well the Yankees are doing right now? Maybe but they're looking good, so we will talk about it. #MLB #Yankees The Yankees swept the Kansas City Royals and left on a season-high nine-game winning streak. Stacey recaps the series against KC, spotlights some players, and discusses the Apple TV + broadcast on Friday night and the tandem of Carlos Beltrán and John Flaherty in the YES booth. Stacey also talks about how important this series was for the Yankees in a few different areas—specifically pitching and Gerrit Cole. Thanks to his performance on Saturday, his April looks a lot better on paper, and his ERA is down to 3.00. Michael King continued his strong pitching, and for all the complaining Stacey does about Aroldis Chapman, his ERA is still 0.00. Avalanche Start Slow, Get Behind 3-0 to Kraken and Can't Recover. Lose 3-2
Well this one did not go the way we thought it would. The Colorado Avalanche, coming off a loss to the Washington Capitals, not wanting to lose two in a row especially to a team at the bottom of the standings at this stage in the season, did just that. It was a dreadful first period for the Avalanche and the Kraken pounced, scoring three goals in the first. The Avalanche turned things around with their play, but they couldn't get enough past former Avalanche goalie Philipp Grubauer to gain any points. Even though the Washington Capitals have a playoff spot clinched, their seeding is not. The Colorado Avalanche are playing for franchise records. Both had reason to continue to put their best effort out on the ice and both did just that. In the end, the Washington Capitals skated to a great game plan to keep the chances of the Avalanche limited while taking advantage of bad Avalanche mistakes to take a 3-2 win in Ball Arena. Sure the officials had a bad night, and sure the Avalanche held out some key players to rest up prior to the playoff run. But excuses cannot be made, and we won't do that here.
