Quick recap to the day: Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill continued playing positive cricket in the morning session treating Mitchell Starc as a newbie attacking him and other spinners as well. Matt Kuhnemann got Australia their first breakthrough when he made Sharma to play a bad stroke. Ravindra Jadeja got a promotion at number 5 ahead of Shreyas Iyer and he has added 44 runs in a slow scoring final session with Kohli and broke the shackles with a big six over long on. Only three wickets fell in the day which had little amount of something for the spinners. The Aussies need to pull a trick off the hat tomorrow to push for a positive result as India which bats deep get closer to the total. Virat Kohli also looks set for another big knock. Shubman Gill: "It feels great. Always a great feeling. I love batting here. IPL is around the corner and this is my IPL home ground. The pitch was good to bat on. Anything that was happening was off the rough area and I just played watchfully. Honestly it was more about being positive and getting the singles. They had an in out field and were not attacking. It is a two-faced pitch which looks good in the centre but changes as you come closer to the stumps that's where the spinners will be effective. It looks like a Day 3 wicket right now with big cracks already right in the zone for the spinners. The groundmen though say it is unlikely to break up.
