Having been denied a chance of victory on Stage 1 by crosswinds, the sprinters lined up for their next big opportunity on Stage 4 of the UAE Tour - and they did not disappoint. Sam Bennett, Caleb Ewan, Pascal Ackermann were among the fast men going head to head and they delivered an electrifying spectacle in which strategy and positioning played just as important a role as speed and power. It was supposed to be a day for the sprinters and a quiet stage in the general classification, but crosswinds right from the gun put paid to that in spectacular style.
