🔴 El Tour de Francia 2021 sella a Tadej Pogacar como campeón y marca un récord histórico de Richard Carapaz entrando en la historia de las grandes vueltas. Mark Cavendish es objeto de señalamientos por agredir a un miembro de su equipo. Parten en primer lugar los últimos pedalistas clasificados en la general. Los hombres del deceuninck son los que inician el recorrido, siendo Michael Morkov quien marcaba el primero de los registros importantes. Dries Devenyns también del deceuninck inmediatamente borra el tiempo de Mørkøv bajándolo en minuto 36. A medida que ruedan mas ciclistas en la carretera empiezan a darse cambios en la primera posición. El gigante alemán Max Walsheid del Qhubeka se apodera de la cima marcando un tiempo de 37:54. Llegan dos especialistas a mover los cronometros. Primero el danes del UAE Mikkel Bjerg registra 36:45, e inmediatamente el suizo Stefan Bissegger con su llamativo casco pasa primero por los dos puntos de control intermedio, llegando a meta 8 segundos por debajo del tiempo que había sellado Bjerg. Es el turno para otro danés. El campeón nacional Kasper Asgreen hace trizas los cronómetros, poniéndose primero en los dos intermedios y haciendo un sensacional remate en meta con un promedio de velocidad cercano a los 51 kilómetros por hora. De esa manera toma el lugar de Bissegger y se apodera de la silla caliente bajando en 23 segundos el registro del suizo. Llegan los ciclistas colombianos, Nairo Quintana sale a cumplir su recorrido para concluir su octava participación en la ronda gala. Sergio Higuita cierra su segundo tour a 3 minutos 23 segundos del vencedor final de la etapa. Checho Henao que iniciaba en el top 20 de la general se queda a 5:43 del ganador, y Esteban Chaves no tiene una muy buena tarde quedándose en el último lugar de la etapa. Eso si, entrando dentro del tiempo límite de control que le permite seguir en carrera. El campeón europeo de crono Stefan Küng comienza su ejercicio dominando en los dos primeros parciales, pero su rendimiento decrece en el último tercio y no logra mejorar el tiempo de Asgreen que soñaba con el triunfo de etapa. Wout Van Aert uno de los favoritos en la previa se encuentra rodando en la carretera. Borra los registros del suizo Küng en los puntos de control intermedio y tras un espectacular remate se apodera del primer lugar diluyendo el sueño de Kasper Asgreen. 35 minutos 53 segundos eran el desafío para los siguientes ciclistas que deseaban quedarse con el triunfo. Rodando están los hombres del top 10. Rigoberto Urán hace su presentación ubicándose en el puesto 40 siendo el mejor de los colombianos. Le siguen en el orden de salida Pello Bilbao, Guillaume Martin, Alexey Lutsenko, Enric Mas, Wilco Kelderman y Ben O´Connor. Todos ellos con una aceptable presentación manteniendo sus respectivos lugares en la general. Luego los tres del podio hacen su intervención. Carapaz sale con todo y hace la contrarreloj a tope para tratar de superar a Vingegaard en la clasificación. Tarea muy complicada, pues el danés del jumbo viene volando y se queda con el tercer y segundo lugar en los dos intermedios. Richard llega a meta distanciado por más de dos minutos con el puntero Van Aert. Y Vingegaard cierra su actuación a 32 segundos del belga casi alcanzando al ecuatoriano en la meta. El último de los corredores en arribar es el líder Pogacar. Se ha tomado la carrera con relativa calma y no aparece en el top 5 en ninguno de los controles intermedios. Regula sus fuerzas y evita arriesgar sabiendo que el título del tour ya está en su bolsillo. cruza con un tiempo de 36:50, y eso le permite celebrar a Wout Van Aert que se queda con su segunda etapa en esta edición y firma la cuarta para su equipo el jumbo visma. La clasificación de la etapa deja en primer lugar al belga con un registro de 35 minutos 53 segundos a una velocidad media de 51,5 kilómetros por hora. Segundo Kasper Asgreen a 21 segundos y tercero Jonas Vingegaard también del jumbo a 32 segundos. Le siguen Stefan Küng, Stefan Bissegger, Mattia Cattaneo, Mikkel Bjerg, Tadej Pogacar, Magnus Cort Nielsen y Dylan Van Baarle. Campeón Pogacar seguido de Vingegaard y Carapaz en el podio. El ecuatoriano entra en la historia grande de las grandes vueltas del ciclismo, siendo uno de los 20 corredores que en toda la historia se ha subido al menos una vez al podio en una de ellas. Gracias a su triunfo en el giro 2019, un subcampeonato en la vuelta del año anterior y su tercer lugar en este tour. Logro que comparte con ciclistas activos como Nairo Quintana, Chris Froome, Primoz Roglic y Vincenzo Nibali.
