The Montreal Canadiens played tonight at home in the Bell Centre against the Ottawa Senators and would end up losing to them by a final score of 6-3 in regulation. In the 1st period Brendan Gallagher in his return to the line-up and Austin Watson for the 1-1 tie game. In the 2nd period Tim "Flopper" Stutzle would get the 2-1 lead on the PP but Justin Barron would score his 1st ever NHL goal to tie the game. Brady Tkachuk and Cole Caufield would score for the 3-3 tie game headed into the 3rd period. In said 3rd period goals from Drake Batherson (his 1st since returning from injury), Colin White, and Austin Watson's 2nd of the game would get the Senators the 6-3 victory in regulation.
