Southgate slams ‘unforgivable’ racist abuse of England’s Saka, Rashford & Sancho after Euros final
PRINCE William and England manager Gareth Southgate slammed vile racists who posted messages of abuse to three young black Lions after last night's heartbreaking defeat. Gareth Southgate has told journalists the attacks are "unforgivable" - and it's "just not what we stand for". Bitterly disappointed about losing to Italy by 1 penalty, he said: "When you're so so close it's even more painful, it feels like my stomach has been ripped out this morning." And the royal - who was at Sunday's game with wife Kate and son George - said he's "sickened" at the disgusting trolls who targeted Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho after their penalty misses. The Duke of Cambridge, who serves as president of The FA, tweeted: "I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match. "It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour. "It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable."
