Crawley continued to score a brisk fifty but fell to a superb Shreyas Iyer catch. Then Jasprit Bumrah cut through the middle order like a knife through butter. He made the most of reverse swing dismissing Root with an outswinger Pope with an inswinger and then Stokes with a cutter. The Indian vice-captain ended with 6/45 as the English middle-order offered little resistance. It is advantage for the hosts but they found themselves in a similar situation after Day 2 in Hyderabad and nobody needs reminding how that one ended.
