Drei Minuten später fand Luka Modric Benzema mit einem Pass durch die Beine von Presnel Kimpembe und das Spiel war gedreht. Damit nicht genug: Direkt nach dem Anstoß verlor PSG den Ball und Benzema zirkelte einen Direktschuss zum Hattrick ins Netz (78.). Paris fand nicht mehr in die Offensive und sicherte sich den Einzug ins Viertelfinale. That third goal took the sting out of St. Etienne, who had no answer for their extremely talented opponents. PSG now sit 16 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, meaning it looks increasingly certain they will retain their crown.
