#Powojnie #Historia Cześć! W związku ze zbliżającymi się Mistrzostwami Europy w piłce nożnej postanowiłem opowiedzieć historię pierwszego EURO zorganizowanego w 1960 roku. Niewiele osób już o tym pamięta, ale tamten turniej uratowała interwencja Związku Radzieckiego. Niewiele reprezentacji krajowych było zainteresowanych organizacją tego wydarzenia. Tymczasem ZSRR szukał okazji do osiągnięcia sportowego sukcesu. Tym sposobem Blok Wschodni w propagandowych przekazach zyskałby przewagę nad Europą Zachodnią i Stanami Zjednoczonymi. Piłka Nożna w Związku Radzieckim po dojściu komunistów do władzy była ściśle związana z polityką. Niektóre osoby, sprawujące władzę w państwie miały futbolowe zainteresowania. Jedną z nich był Ławrentij Beria, który w młodości grywał na gruzińskich boiskach. Jego głównym przeciwnikiem był wtedy człowiek, który kilkadziesiąt lat później zbuduje sukces radzieckiej reprezentacji. Zanim jednak do tego dojdzie siepacz Stalina będzie mścił się na swoim byłym przeciwniku z boiska wysyłając go i jego braci do łagru.
