#premierleague #premierleaguehighlights #burnley Brentford led 3-1 at the break, thanks to goals from Mikkel Damsgaard, Igor Thiago and Kevin Schade put the visitors in the ascendancy, before Jaidon Anthony's shot deflected in off Michael Kayode on the stroke of half-time to give Burnley hope. Anthony then pulled a second back two minutes into the second period, before Zian Flemming headed home an unstoppable header from an outrageous Hannibal cross to make it 3-3 on the hour mark. The home side then thought they were in front through another Flemming strike, but VAR ruled out the goal for an adjudged offside in the build-up. There was still time for a late twist in the tale, when Damsgaard bagged Brentford's fourth and the winning goal in the third minute of second half stoppage-time. Burnley again then thought they had claimed something from the game deep into stoppage time, but Ashley Barnes' effort was disallowed for a handball, with the Bees walking away with the three points. Clarets defeated at the death at Turf Moor Burnley's mini-revival ended with the cruellest of defeats at home to Brentford on Saturday afternoon in a seven-goal thriller, with the Clarets denied two goals by VAR. After collecting four points from a possible six on the road from matches against Crystal Palace and Chelsea in recent weeks, Scott Parker's side succumbed to a last-gasp 4-3 loss to the Bees at Turf Moor, leaving them eight points adrift of safety with ten Premier League fixtures remaining this season. #premierleague #highlights #burnley Subscribe to the Clarets' official YouTube channel and hit the bell to be notified for future videos: ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/user/officialburnleyfc?sub_confirmation=1
Flemming's late leveller clinches point in the capital Zian Flemming's stoppage-time header sealed a point for Burnley at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea, on Saturday afternoon. João Pedro's early first half goal put Chelsea in the ascendancy, before the hosts were reduced to ten men 20 minutes from time when Wesley Fofana was shown a second yellow card and subsequent red. Burnley's spirited showing was rewarded in second half stoppage-time, when Flemming rose tallest to head home an equaliser for Scott Parker's side. Despite a battling second half display from Burnley after trailing at the break, the Clarets suffered a 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the Boxing Day evening clash. Darwin Nunez struck home the opener with six minutes played at Turf Moor before Diogo Jota added a second in stoppage time of the second half. Although the Clarets created plenty of opportunities in the second half and enjoyed impressive spells of possession, the hosts just couldn't quite find the back of the net in a frustrating night for Vincent Kompany's side before Kompany made one change from the side that beat Fulham on the weekend as Mike Tresor was named in the starting XI replacing Jacob Bruun Larsen.
