Lahore Qalandars have won the Pakistan Super League after being mocked, lampooned, and laughed at for so long. You're not reading the PSL table backwards, but rather the redemption arc of a franchise that had almost relegated itself to the roles of tragic failures and lovable buffoons. All of that was relegated to history on a magical evening at the Gaddafi Stadium, where Shaheen Shah Afridi and his men blew away defending champions Multan Sultans by 43 runs, swept along by crowd support that almost reached mystical levels. Lahore Qalandars batted first in the final match, but the top order failed miserably and finally Mohammad Hafeez took the charge, scored 69 runs, then Harry Brook and David Wiese played superb Cameos to take Lahore to 180. Sultans were never quite in the hunt in their 181-run chase as top and middle order batters failed to capitalise. Hafeez, Shaheen Afridi, and Zaman Khan took 2, 3 and 2 wickets respectively to bowl out Multan Sultans for 138.
