Funny & Hilarious 2023 Rugby World Cup Moments | Springboks Rugby
Funny & Hilarious 2023 Rugby World Cup Moments | Springboks Rugby

This is going to be the first funny moments video of the 2023 Rugby World Cup. This is by far the worst World Cup in the history of the sport as World Rugby has made sure to do everything in their power to stop the growth of the game during what is supposed to be, a tournament that celebrates the sport of Rugby. Instead, we're seeing World Rugby trying to censor all the content creators. But enough of the negativity, this video is about the Funny & Hilarious Rugby World Cup moments of the Springboks. I'll see how this video goes, if it gets support I'll obviously start doing it for other teams. It's always nice to hear and see stuff that we don't get to see with the regular broadcasts of the games. There was quite a few funny moments during the South African games. A few mention being Willie le Roux being a national treasure with his off the ball stuff. Then we have Faf de Klerk stirring the pot with every change he gets. There's also an example of exactly why Eben is the best, where he just has amazing rugby instincts. There's also a few bonus clips at the end, for the South African fans, which only they will understand. Can't have a South African video without including that. Here are the timestamps: 00:00 - 1. Bongi Mbonambi's Bad Luck 00:58 - 2. Willie le Roux Being a National Treasure 03:10 - 3. Kwagga Smith Getting Abused By Referees 03:42 - 4. Why Eben Etzebeth Is The Best 04:06 - 5. Funny & Hilarious Rugby Moments | South Africa vs All Blacks 2023 Rugby Championship

Last weekend was a tough game to watch for Springbok fans as we got beaten handedly by New Zealand who were simply better than us. But rewatching the game and finding these funny moments definitely makes it a little bit easier to deal with. There is so much stuff we miss during the game as we only get the broadcast audio, and it's a pity because there are really hilarious moments that goes on in a pitch, stuff that the referee's mic can pic up. Here are the five moments that were the funniest to me. 00:00 - 1. Willie le Roux Being a National Treasure 02:37 - 2. Aaron Smith Being a Scrumhalf 03:40 - 3. Faf de Klerk Being a Scrumhalf 04:56 - 4. Ardie Savea 05:22 - 5. Mathieu Raynal Gets Cramp

Dear World Rugby... Are These Paid Professionals??? | South Africa vs England Autumn Series 2022
Dear World Rugby... Are These Paid Professionals??? | South Africa vs England Autumn Series 2022

World Rugby, you have got to stop this. How on earth do you explain the performances of Angus Gardner and Ben Whitehouse last night? Last night in the Springboks vs England game in the 2022 Autumn Nations Series we witnessed what happens when you put a incompetent ref and combine it with an equally incompetent TMO, the results were astonishing. The amount of mistakes and miscalls they made was incredible, I don't even know where to start. Let's just start with the 2 tries. With the Kurt-Lee Arendse try, how was that try not reviewed? First off we have a clear case of blocking where Arendse changes his lane after seeing where the England chaser is, which blocks him just enough for Willemse to step outside and create a break. Then Willemse makes a very questionable pass that looked forward to me. So we've got 2 incidents that would've meant no try to SA, yet they didn't even officially review it. Angus asked the TMO to check it quickly and within 3 seconds Ben Whitehouse responded that it was okay. Such a big moment in the game, the TMO takes 3 seconds to award I try. I'm not convinced he even checked the replays. Even if we're only looking at the Willemse pass, you can see the direction of his hands are forward, and would explain why the pass looked forward. Yet, there was no review. But let's skip ahead, let's look at Eben Etzebeth's try. Again, how on earth does that not get reviewed? Let's forget about the sealing off before the try, let's just focus on the try itself. The ball gets lost forward by Faf de Klerk, Eben is offside and off his feet, yet he picks the ball up despite being offside and off his feet, he then proceeds to score. There could've been 3 penalties against Eben but instead the ref didn't see any of it, same with the TMO. Now the question is, how on earth can Ben Whitehouse be a TMO if he clearly has no idea about the laws? What the hell. The only good thing they did that entire game was the red card for Thomas du Toit, there was no defending that. It was a reckless tackle and they dealt with it correctly. But in saying that, then there were 2 other incidents where Bongi takes a shoulder to the head, he appeals to the ref, the ref shuts him down. Siya Kolisi then goes to the ref, tells him about it. And Angus just tells him he didn't see it, so unless the TMO says something he can't do it. Which is lies of course. Anyhow, then we have Ben Whitehouse doing nothing. He didn't event check it. Then there was also the last moment of the game where the England lock comes from the side of a ruck and lifts Jaden Hendrikse by his lower limb, and then flips him through the horizontal. Now this happens directly in front of the ref, and he ignores it. Only 30 seconds later after the AR tells him about it, he blows his whistle. Then to make it worse, they don't even check it on replay. It should've been a yellow at least, but they just did nothing. This was probably one of the worst officiated games of the year. Games like this shows why Rassie did what he did. This can't continue. Eddie Jones should rather fight with Rassie than against him with this issue. Coaches seriously need to start working together and calling out World Rugby's protocols regarding match officials, else we're never going to see improvement

Mapimpi's Revenge Try Leads To MASSIVE Fight | South Africa vs Australia 2022
Mapimpi's Revenge Try Leads To MASSIVE Fight | South Africa vs Australia 2022

This was by far, the best moment in the game. It was poetic in a sense that Mapimpi got an opportunity to get revenge on Marika Koroibete in The Rugby Championship match of South Africa vs Australia. I like the attitude that Mapimpi had when he let Marika Koroibete know about his missed tackle, it showed that the fightback from the Springbok team and the fact that everyone came in to back Mapimpi up, showed the pride we had. Mapimpi might have gotten a yellow card, but this was well worth it because he restored the pride of South African fans by doing that. It got back at Australia for the whole Nic White incident as well where he faked an injury to get Faf de Klerk a yellow card. Also what stood out is just how terrifying Eben Etzebeth is when he gets his star going. He was not having any of it and got into the faces of the Australian players and showed why he is the most feared rugby player in rugby. It's been a while when we saw that much aggression from him as he has calmed down in recent time, but this was the perfect game to show his aggression. Eben is a legend and will go down as one of South Africa's best players as well as most liked players to ever play the game. People can be mad at Ben O'Keefe, but he had no choice but to give the yellow card to Mapimpi, he was the one who instigated it. I thought he handled it well, because if it was a northern hemisphere ref, you could bet there would be red cards flying out all over the place.

Dear World Rugby...That Was Disgraceful! | Springboks vs Australia 2022
Dear World Rugby...That Was Disgraceful! | Springboks vs Australia 2022

What I saw today from Paul Williams was absolutely disgraceful. He was single handedly the reason the Springboks lost that game. We absolutely dominated Australia the first half and had the possession and territory, but absolutely got nothing as Paul Williams decided the game has different rules for the two teams. But that aside, the most shocking moment in the whole game happened at the end of the first half. It started with Mapimpi getting the ball on the sideline and sprinting to score an easy try. But then Marika Koroibete comes in recklessly and shoulder charges Mapimpi with no arms, which results in Mapimpi losing control of the ball and not scoring the try. The ref then just says it was a knock on and completely ignores Damien Willemse who asked about the tackle. To make it worse, they keep on showing replays and different angles and every single one of the angles show the same thing, a reckless shoulder charge. This was as close as you can get to a penalty try and yellow card but for some reason, the TMO and Ref did not even see this as a penalty. How on earth is Paul Williams an international ref, if he misses this? Then to make things absolutely worse, the the next thing happens. It's a scrum for Australia and Faf is trying to pressure Nic White. He then tries to swipe at the ball, but lightly struck Nic on the chin. It was barely a touch, but then Nic White goes full soccer mode and absolutely milks it. The ref then goes to the TMO and they check the replays and watch it over and over in slow motion. They then come to the conclusion that this incident is a yellow card, which is absolutely ridiculous. The reaction from Siya Kolisi and Faf de Klerk after hearing the ref say yellow card, is how every single fan reacted when it was said. It was a complete joke. Nic White should be ashamed of himself and appologize to rugby fans and Faf de Klerk about that. As for Paul Williams and the TMO. How on earth are these two allowed to officiate in a game of this caliber? If they make mistakes like this, how are they allowed to be at this level? It's absolutely disgraceful from World Rugby

Faf de Klerk's BRUTAL Knockout vs All Blacks | Springboks vs All Blacks 2022
Faf de Klerk's BRUTAL Knockout vs All Blacks | Springboks vs All Blacks 2022

This was a scary moment in the South Africa vs New Zealand game in The Rugby Championship. Faf de Klerk went in to tackle Caleb Clarke but he got his head on the wrong side and hit his head on Caleb's knee, which knocked him out cold. He was motionless for quite some time but luckily after the medical staff came on he was able to leave to field in a safe manner. It was just a horrible sight for any fans as nobody wants to see a player lay down like that. Later on in the game a great moment happened when Faf walked onto the sideline which was on the big screen, he then got a massive cheer from his home crowd where he started his career. It was a nice moment to see and was also good to know he is okay after the scary hit on him.
