In erster Empörung über die Niederlage wählte Jude Bellingham harsche Worte - und auch Trainer Marco Rose war schlecht auf Referee Felix Zwayer zu sprechen. Nach dem 2:3 (1:2) im spektakulären Fußball-Gipfel gegen den FC Bayern diskutierten die Dortmunder weniger über den sehenswerten Schlagabtausch beider Teams als vielmehr über die Leistung des Schiedsrichterteams. «Du gibst einem Schiedsrichter, der schon in Spielmanipulationen verwickelt war, das größte Spiel in Deutschland. Was erwartest du?», sagte der englische Nationalspieler Bellingham beim norwegischen Sender Viaplay Fotball. Die Anspielung des erst 18 Jahre alten Mittelfeldspielers auf den Schiedsrichter-Skandal um Robert Hoyzer in der Bundesliga 16 Jahre zuvor sorgte für Schlagzeilen und könnte für Bellingham ein sportjuristisches Nachspiel haben. Schließlich ist Zwayer, der 2005 zu den Kronzeugen gegen Hoyzer gehörte, mittlerweile rehabilitiert. Hoyzer war vom Landgericht Berlin wegen Beihilfe zum Betrug zu einer Freiheitsstrafe von zwei Jahren und fünf Monaten ohne Bewährung verurteilt worden. Zwayer wurde damals vom DFB rückwirkend für mehrere Monate gesperrt, weil er seinen Verdacht gegen Hoyzer nicht früher gemeldet und einmal ein 300 Euro hohes Honorar von Hoyzer angenommen haben soll. Weniger angreifbar, aber nicht minder verärgert äußerte sich BVB-Coach Rose über den 40 Jahre alten Unparteiischen aus Berlin. Grund für die Kritik war der spielentscheidende Elfmeter von Robert Lewandowski (78.) für die Bayern nach einem Handspiel von Mats Hummels, den Zwayer erst nach Studium der Video-Bilder gab. Rose echauffierte sich am Spielfeldrand und wurde daraufhin auf die Tribüne geschickt. «Das Spiel hätte einen anderen Ausgang und eine andere Entscheidungsfindung verdient», klagte Rose. Mit sarkastischem Unterton fügte der Fußball-Lehrer an: «Herr Zwayer kann ruhig noch ein paar BVB-Spiele pfeifen. Wir sind hier, wir sind bereit. Er kann uns noch ein paar Steine und Stöcke in den Weg werfen. Wir machen weiter.» Ähnlich kritisch meldete sich Torschütze Erling Haaland (47.) zu Wort: «Die Schiedsrichterleistung war ein Skandal. Er war arrogant, mehr will ich nicht sagen.» Zwayer sah sich bei aller Kritik im Recht. «Der Videoschiedsrichter hat für sich eine Beurteilung vorgenommen und gesagt: «Hummels hat den Arm in einer unnatürlichen Armhaltung vom Körper weggestreckt.» Daraufhin habe ich es mir am Monitor angeschaut und bin zu dem Ergebnis gekommen, dass es ein strafbares Handspiel ist», sagte er bei Sky. Dass der Referee jedoch wenige Minuten vor dem Elfmeter für die Bayern nach einem Tackling von Lucas Hernandez an BVB-Kapitän Marco Reus im Münchner Strafraum auf eine Sichtung der TV-Bilder verzichtet hatte, vergrößerte den Dortmunder Ärger. «Meine Elfmeterszene war auch 50:50. Das hätte er sich wenigstens anschauen müssen», befand Nationalspieler Reus. «Wir hatten immer das Gefühl, dass wir das Spiel gewinnen können. Und dann ist es natürlich doppelt bitter, wenn wir so bestraft werden.» Selbst Bayern-Coach Julian Nagelsmann äußerte Verständnis für den Unmut der Dortmunder über die unterschiedliche Vorgehensweise von Zwayer. «Ich verstehe, dass die beiden Situationen Diskussionen auslösen können. In meinen Augen kann man beide Elfmeter geben.» Noch deutlicher wurde der ehemalige Schiedsrichter Manuel Gräfe im ZDF-Sportstudio: «Die Entscheidungen sind zu Lasten vom BVB ausgefallen und damit leider spielentscheidend.» Und auch der ehemalige Münchner Profi und heutige ARD-Experte Bastian Schweinsteiger empfand Mitleid mit den Dortmundern: «Entweder es sind zwei Elfmeter oder keine zwei Elfmeter. So hätte ich entschieden.» Aufgrund des Vorgehens von Zwayer fühlte sich der BVB um den Lohn für eine couragierte Vorstellung gebracht. Als besonders unerfreulich dürfte vor allem Mats Hummels den Fußballabend in Erinnerung behalten. Schließlich war der Dortmunder Abwehrchef an allen drei Gegentreffern beteiligt. Vor dem 1:1 durch Lewandowski (9.) leistete er sich einen Fehlpass, vor dem 2:1 durch Kingsley Coman (44.) wurde er von Mitspieler Raphael Guerreiro unglücklich angeschossen.
