Sierra Leone moved on to the Cup quarterfinals of the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win vs. Liberia, after light issues delayed the end of the match by a day at the Stade Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal. Suffian Kalokoh broke the deadlock for the Leone Stars in the 40th minute with a volleyed effort. In the 71st minute the field was plunged into darkness after the floodlights failed, forcing the remaining minutes of the match to be finished the next day.
