Newcastle United 1 Aston Villa 1 Player Ratings. This was a pretty drab performance again from Newcastle United as they had to come from behind and rescue a point in the very dying seconds of this Premier League encounter. Steve Bruce made a team selection that certainly wasn't to win the game by playing players out of position as well as shocking substitutions yet again during the match. Aston Villa thought they had won the game thanks to Watkins deflected header but thankfully Lascelles nodded home in the final moments to give us a point. For me though that is still not good enough.
