Carrasco was the provider again as he teed-up De Bruyne to complete a brace, before the former grabbed the goal his performance deserved a minute before the break after burying his shot from Eden Hazard's pass. There was little let-up in the second period as Belgium continued to dominate, with Christoforou putting the ball into his own net and Benteke adding the sixth. #euro2020 #BelgiumvsCyprus #BelgiumbeatCyprus

Wolves 3-2 Manchester City | EPL Match Report - 10-man City dealt major blow in Liverpool chase

EPL News Today | Wolves complete stunning turnaround as Pep Guardiola's 10 men throw away two-goal lead following Raheem Sterling's double with Manchester City made to pay for Ederson's 12th-minute dismissal Adama Traore was once again the scourge of Manchester City as he inspired a pulsating fight-back – and surely ended the champions’ title chances. This was surely the game that gave Liverpool their first Premier League crown. Twenty-four hours after Jurgen Klopp's relentless team had crushed Leicester, reigning champions Manchester City suffered a defeat that leaves them 14 points behind the leaders and with Pep Guardiola's hopes of a third consecutive title virtually extinguished. Down to 10 men for all but the first 11 minutes after goalkeeper Ederson was sent off, Raheem Sterling's double appeared to have helped City cut Liverpool's lead to 11 points, only for goals from Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez and Matt Doherty to give Wolves a stunning victory. Yet those details tell only a fraction of the story of this remarkable match. Wolves could face sanctions for the objects that were thrown onto the pitch after Sterling put City in front in the first half. Sterling had seen two penalties – the first given on V A R advice, the second a retake following encroachment – saved by Rui Patricio, but the second save fell into Sterling's path and allowed him to score the opener. Referee Martin Atkinson had a frantic evening and made the home fans furious throughout, but they will no longer care after seeing one of the most famous wins of their club's recent history. Wolves completed the league double over City to move fifth in the table, two points off a Champions League spot, and restricted the visitors to 38 per cent possession, the lowest for any side coached by Guardiola in his career. Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez were substituted by Guardiola, decisions that came back to haunt him. Guardiola must revive his men for a home game against Sheffield United on Sunday but even though he will not admit it publicly, the City boss knows the game is up. It would take an incredible turn of events for a side as accomplished as Liverpool to drop the number of points required, while there is a vulnerability about City that was absent in the last two seasons. No wonder Guardiola was casting his mind back to his first campaign in England, when his team finished the season empty-handed and embarked on an expansive transfer campaign the following summer to put it right. Aguero's return to the starting XI after a five-week injury absence lasted only 13 minutes as he was sacrificed for substitute goalkeeper Claudio Bravo following Ederson's dismissal. With the City defence caught square, Diogo Jota ran on to Conor Coady's lofted pass, only for Ederson to foul the Portuguese as he lifted the ball beyond him. When the red card followed, Guardiola chose to take off Aguero, with Sterling now alone up front in a 4-4-1. Guardiola later said that Aguero, included because Gabriel Jesus was ill, could not have lasted 90 minutes. Controversy continued to run through the game. City were furious when no penalty was awarded after Mahrez went down under Leander Dendoncker's challenge, only for Atkinson to overturn his decision after advice from V A R. Sterling took the kick, and Rui Patricio saved to his right – but City had another V A R reprieve when replays indicated Coady had strayed into the area before Sterling struck the ball. Sterling stepped up again and Patricio saved again but this time, the ball fell perfectly for Sterling to tap into an empty net. As Sterling celebrated, a hip flask was launched on to the pitch from the South Bank containing the home fans. Rodri remonstrated with them and more missiles arrived, prompting the PA announcer to warn fans and mention the threat of prosecution.

Bayern Munich 3-1 Tottenham | UCL Match Report - Coutinho comes back to haunt Spurs

Please watch: "Meet Virgil van Dijk's girlfriend Rike Nooitgedagt… Woman behind world’s most expensive defender" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdGbjbBmvW4 --~-- EPL News Today | Bayern Munich beat Tottenham 3-1 in an entertaining affair at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night as the Bundesliga giants maintained their perfect group-stage campaign. Ahead of the match, manager Jose Mourinho told his player not to look back at the two teams previous Champions League meeting, when Bayern thrashed Spurs 7-2 in London on Oct. 1. With both teams already qualified for the knockout rounds and Bayern having clinched top spot in the Group B, Mourinho chose to heavily rotate his side, even handing a start to summer arrival Ryan Sessegnon and leaving Harry Kane on the bench. And Bayern, who's manager Hansi Flick picked a more first-choice XI, were soon in front when a Serge Gnabry pass fell to the feet of Kingsley Coman, who expertly dispatched his first-time finish into the back of the net. Spurs got back on level terms soon after, though, when Sessegnon scored his first goal for the club, settling a loose ball in the Bayern penalty area and smashing home a low volley that beat Manuel Neuer at his near post. Goalscorer Coman was replaced by Thomas Muller in the 27th minute after the France international fell awkwardly on the sidelines while chasing down a pass and the Germany international put the hosts back in front with a close-range finish just before half-time. Philippe Coutinho, who had a screamer just miss off the crossbar in the first half, made no mistake in the second half, burying a patented long-range strike in the 64th minute to give Bayern a 3-1 lead that they would not relinquish. The Bundesliga side would have scored more but for Spurs keeper Paulo Gazzaniga, especially when Tottenham substitute Son Heung-min twice burst through late on. With the win, Bayern became just the seventh team in Champions League history to win all six of their group stage games. The two teams will now await the result of Monday's Champions League round-of-16 draw to see who they will face when the knockout rounds begin in 2020.

Luxembourg 0-2 Portugal : Cristiano Ronaldo nabs his 99th international goal

Please watch: "Meet Virgil van Dijk's girlfriend Rike Nooitgedagt… Woman behind world’s most expensive defender" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdGbjbBmvW4 --~-- Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 99th international goal as the defending champions edged past Luxembourg 2-0 in difficult conditions away from home on Sunday to qualify for Euro 2020.Bruno Fernandes broke the deadlock in the 39th minute and Ronaldo wrapped it up with four minutes left to ensure that Portugal finished second in Group B with 17 points, three ahead of Serbia who drew 2-2 with Ukraine. Diogo Jota's shot appeared to be going in any way but Ronaldo prodded it over to claim the goal.He is one short of joining Iran's Ali Daei, the only player to have scored a century of goals for a national team.Portugal survived several early scares as they struggled to impose their game on a rain-soaked pitch full of divots at the Josy Barthel stadium.Ronaldo, in particular, was not enjoying the conditions and gestured angrily at the pitch after sending a speculative wide in the first half.Needing a win to qualify without having to worry about Serbia's result, Portugal were in trouble early on as Luxembourg saw a chance to spring an upset.Maurice Deville got above his marker and headed over from Laurent Jans' cross and Vincent Thill, a thorn in Portugal's side, had a goalbound shot blocked by Ruben Dias.Luxembourg were even closer when a corner found Gerons Rodrigues unmarked but he headed over. Portugal began to adapt to the conditions and their more direct approach was rewarded with a goal. #euro2020#eplnewstoday#CristianoRonaldo

Manchester City 3 - Newcastle 1: EPL Match Report - Sergio Aguero hat-trick seals nervy victory

As they did at home last month, Newcastle United set up to defend and to frustrate Manchester City. However they could only manage it for 34 minutes before Sergio Aguero provided the breakthrough. Aguero flicked in a Kevin De Bruyne cross, getting the faintest touch on the in-swinging ball from the left.Raheem Sterling was fouled for a penalty on 62 minutes, converted coolly by Aguero for his second goal.Newcastle pulled one back when Jacob Murphy ran clear and executed a cute dinked finish over Ederson. It was Aguero's day however, finishing left footed after Leroy Sane twisted his way through defence to set up. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Arsenal outcast Granit Xhaka begins house hunting in Milan ahead of January transfer" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx22nEXxerg -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
