German recorded 9 strikeouts in this one and settled in nicely after giving up 3 runs in the 1st inning on homeruns by Todd Frazier and Asdrubal Cabrera. Matz gave up 2 homeruns of his own to Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar, but also went 6 innings limiting the damage. Aaron Judge broke the tie in the 8th inning, hitting a solo shot to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead.
