In what could have been the last ever match at the York Street Stadium - home to Boston United since 1933 - ended 5-3 to the Pilgrims and means that they now host Altrincham in the Final of the Play Offs which will be the last ever match at York Street - and next season will be moving into a new stadium on the outskirts of Boston. Gateshead started the stronger team and deserved their early 1-0 lead. However 2 penalties for Boston United in which top scorer Thewlis scored from put them in the lead - although it was some time before it was known why the 2nd penalty was awarded - but the slow motion video shows it was hand ball - well spotted linesman. Gateshead drew level after the interval with another penalty, but after Rollins scored from the 20 yards it was one way traffic with Wright scoring a peach of a 4th goal, and a run from just past the half way line for the 5th with Gateshead scoring their 3rd with 6 minutes remaining. All set for next Saturday at 3pm and the winners will be promoted to the National League. Final Score: Boston United 5 (Thewlis 34, 43 - 2 penalties; Rollins 62; Wright 70, 79) Gateshead 3 (O'Donnell 19; Nicholson 51 Penalty; Forbes 84)
