ASU Politehnica Timișoara
Asociația Sportivă Universitatea Politehnica Timișoara , commonly known as ASU Politehnica Timișoara, or simply as ASU Poli, is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Timișoara, Timiș County, currently playing in the Liga II. ASU Poli belongs to the Politehnica University of Timișoara and is a fan-owned phoenix club formed after the dissolution of the original FC Politehnica Timișoara in 2012. Also in that year, ACS Recaș was moved to Timișoara and renamed ACS Poli Timișoara, but the fans decided to create and support an amateur team, being of the opinion that ACS Poli is a fraud and a political maneuver.

Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara , commonly referred to as Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian football club established in 1921 and dissolved in September 2012. The team had won two Romanian Cups and was twice a runner-up in Liga I. It is ranked eigtth in the Liga I All-Time Table, with 49 seasons played.

Asociația Club Sportiv Poli Timișoara , commonly known as ACS Poli Timișoara, or simply as Poli Timișoara, is a Romanian professional football club based in Timișoara, Timiș County, currently playing in the Liga III. The club is credited as the official record holder and legal successor of the original club founded in 1921, FC Politehnica Timișoara, which went bankrupt and was dissolved, following the 2011–12 season. It is co-owned by the City Council and the County Council and has the backing of the Politehnica University of Timișoara, all three being active members in the legal entity running the club.

The Bisnovat 5 was a supersonic research aircraft designed in the USSR in the late 1940s, inspired by the German DFS 346 aircraft that was captured by Soviet troops towards the end of World War II. The Bisnovat 5 was ordered into development to provide an all-Soviet alternative to an aircraft built with foreign technology. Originally intended to take-off from the ground, gliding flights were carried out from a Petlyakov Pe-8 mothership, similar to the way that the Bell X-1 was dropped from a B-29 Superfortress mothership.
