En su último partido como locales en temporada regular, los Indios de Mayagüez derrotaron a los Criollos de Caguas con marcador final, 8-1. Este es el primero de tres encuentros para ambas novenas en la última serie antes de comenzar la postemporada. Cuadrangulares de Emmanuel Rivera, Danny Ortiz e Iván De Jesús Jr. aseguraron la duodécima victoria de los Indios de Mayagüez (12-4) quienes se colocan a un partido de la primera posición del torneo ocupada por los Criollos de Caguas con marca de 13-3. Abanicó tres bateadores. Por los locales, Luis Medina (1-0) se apuntó su primer triunfo en el montículo tolerando una sola carrera y tres indiscutibles en cinco entradas completas. Ponchó siete criollos. En su segundo día como parte de la plantilla de la tribu, Iván De Jesús Jr. pegó cuadrangular al jardín izquierdo-central para colocar el marcador, 4-0. Acto seguido, el inicialista mayagüezano bateó sencillo y completó la quinta vuelta al diamante con elevado de sacrificio para doble matanza de Xavier Fernández. Vimael Machín libró la coca para Caguas en el cuarto acto con la única carrera para los visitantes en el desafío. Sencillos consecutivos de Machín y Jonathan Morales pusieron corredores en tránsito quienes adelantaron almohadillas en el turno de Reymond Fuentes quien fue retirado en la inicial. Con lanzamiento salvaje de Luis Medina, el cuarto bate criollo pisó el plato para poner la pizarra, 5-1. Las flechas de los Indios siguieron en acción sumando dos en el quinto episodio con sencillo de Jeremy Rivera impulsando a Danny Ortiz y Jack López quienes pegaron imparable y doble, respectivamente. Mayagüez produjo una más en la sexta con batazo de doble mérito de TJ Rivera quien fue remolcado por Danny Ortiz.
