Clubul Sportiv Comunal Sânmartin, commonly known as CSC Sânmartin, or simply as Sânmartin, is a Romanian football club based in Sânmartin, Bihor County, currently playing in the Liga III. Founded on 16 June 2009, CSC Sânmartin played for most of its existence at the amateur level, in the Liga IV. Promoted in 2014 in the third tier, the club resisted only one season before withdrawing due to financial difficulties.

They are one of the few Danube Swabian (German: Donau Schwaben) subgroups that are actually Swabian, and their dialect, namely Sathmar Swabian, is similar to the other varieties of the Swabian German dialect.Most were originally farmers in Upper Swabia who subsequently came to Partium (at the time Hungary, now Romania) during the East Colonization (German: Ostsiedlung) in the 1700s.

Satu Mare ghetto

The Satu Mare ghetto was one of the Nazi-era ghettos for European Jews during World War II. It was located in the city of Satu Mare in Satu Mare County, Transylvania, now part of Romania but administered as part of Szatmár County by the Kingdom of Hungary from the 1940 Second Vienna Award's grant of Northern Transylvania until late 1944. The ghetto was active in the spring of 1944, following Operation Margarethe.
