2007–08 Llanelli Scarlets season

The 2007–08 season was the fifth in the history of the Llanelli Scarlets regional side. The season saw the Scarlets compete in three competitions: the Celtic League, the EDF Energy Cup and the Heineken Cup.

Scarlets

The Scarlets are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium.

Aberystwyth Town F.C.

Aberystwyth Town Football Club is a semi-professional football team, playing in the Welsh Premier League. The club was founded in 1884, and plays at Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, where their ground accommodates 5,000 spectators with 1,002 of that capacity seated.

Llanelli Town Association Football Club are a semi-professional Welsh football club that plays in the Welsh Premier League. The original club was wound up on 22 April 2013 at the High Court in London following a petition presented by HM Revenue and Customs.

Llanelli RFC

Llanelli Rugby Football Club is a Welsh rugby union club founded in 1875 (though often recorded as 1872). The club began the 2008–09 season at their historic home ground of Stradey Park in Llanelli, but moved in November 2008 to the new Parc y Scarlets in adjacent Pemberton.

Aberystwyth and Tregaron Bank

The bank officially known as the Aberystwith and Tregaron Bank was established at Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire in the beginning of the 19th century and was locally known as ‘Banc y Ddafad Ddu’, because the bank notes were imprinted with an engraving of a black sheep. The Bank later established a branch at TregaronIn the 1960s and 1970s the Bank's notes inspired a Mr Richard Williams to imitate them.
