On Friday, September 9, 2016 Għajnsielem F.C. played against Kalkara F.C. in a Malta F.A. Trophy 1st Round match at the Centenary Ground. The Blacks won 3-2. Chris Camilleri (pen), Rafael Alain Kooh Sohna and John Camilleri scored the goals for Għajnsielem.
Water & Fun Games @ Mqabba FC Youth Nursery Mqabba FC Youth Nursery Football Summer Camp 2015 came to an end on Saturday 8th August 2015 where various water and fun games were organized for the final session of this year's summer school. The Mqabba FC Youth Nursery Football Summer School 2015 kicked off on Tuesday 30th June 2015 at the Mqabba Sports and Training Complex. Sessions were held between 5:30pm till 7pm during the whole week including two sessions at Ghadira Bay in Mellieha where the kids had training on sand. Apart football skills, children and youths enjoyed themselves in related fun games. I would like to thank all parents for sending their children at our Summer School, since the number of attendants was very encouraging. A free ticket for the Annual BBQ Night which will be organised on Friday 21st August 2015 was given to all kids attending the Summer School. The Administrative Committee would like to thank Technical Director Leonard 'Nardu' Farrugia (Uefa A) together with all other coaches who offered their help for the success of these activities throughout the summer time especially Coach Elvin Sciberras and Coach Gianni Borg. Registrations & Meetings for Parents @ Mqabba FC Youth Nursery Mqabba FC Youth Nursery would like to inform the general public that applications and registrations for the coming season 2015/2016 are being accepted for kids, boys and girls, aged 3 years and over. Training season will kick off on Monday 31st August 2015 at the Mqabba FC Sports and Training Complex. Separate meetings are being organized for parents, where important information, details and new issues including registrations will be communicated. Meetings will be addressed by Head Coach Nicholas Baldacchino. During these meetings parents will be introduced to their kid's respective coach. Meanwhile players who would like to join and register with our Under 15 (2001/2002) and Under 17 (1999/2000) squads can do so by contacting Headcoach Nicholas Baldacchino on 99896164. All new players are required to bring three passport size photos and an original birth certificate. All players registered with Mqabba FC Youth Nursery will be required to perform a medical and a fitness test. Training for these categories kicked off during the first week of July 2015 while respective competitions will kick off during the first week of September. Mqabba FC Under 17 squad today under the guidance of Coach Major Darren Micallef obtained another point after sharing spoils with Kalkara FC. Mqabba FC went on goal with Ryan Vella with Jean Claude Farrugia scoring the second goal for Mqab ba FC. After the half time Mqabba FC conceeded two goals (one from an own goal and the other from a short freekick after referee decided to give Kalkara a direct freekick for wasting of time). Mqabba FC could easily obtained their second win but unfortunately the score ended in a draw. Scorers: Ryan Vella & Jean Claude Farrugia.
